Valentine's Concert

At an auditorium, we find band instruments set up. Enter TMNT in formal wear...

Mikey goes to his drums & pick up some brushes, Leo goes to the vibes & grabs some mallets, Don straps his bass guitar & Raph straps on his saxophone. Then Casey enters wearing a white tuxedo & sits down on his organ. Finally, Ex-Cel Dude in his superhero outdit, straps his electric guitar.

RAPH: Where's your tux Chicano?
EX-CEL: Screw you!
LEO: Guys, we got a show to rehearse for. You ready April?

The band played a soft jazzy tune called, "When I Fall In Love" April is dressed in a silky gown & got to sing that song.

After that tune, April left so that she could go to work. Then, the band had a swing jam session featuring soloes from Raph on sax, Leo on the vibes & Casey on the organ. Mikey's dissappointed to see Ex-Cel only chunking guitar chords & not getting a solo. When they finished...

RAPH: Guys, let's take a break!
DON: What do you suggest?
RAPH: How bout we take off the monkey suits & play some b-ball outdoors. Don & Leo vs Casey & me.
LEO: What about Mikey & Ex-Cel?
RAPH: Those losers, they shoot airballs!

After they left, Mikey started drumming on his snare drum.

MIKEY: Let's show some love for Ex-Cel Dude!

Ex-Cel Dude played a cool solo on his electric guitar for two minutes. Then he stopped.

EX-CEL: Man, that brother of yours is a jerk! He always hated me!
MIKEY: (Stops drumming) Man, you got to stand up for yourself. You're a superhero, do it!
EX-CEL: I'm tired of him calling me Mexican names.

An hour later, the boys come back from playing b-ball & are in their tuxedoes again.

LEO: Let's get some more practice in before we wrap it. Let's do that smooth jazz number I wrote.

The guys (except Mikey & Ex-Cel) get on their instruments. Mikey grabs some sticks & played a cool beat. The band joined in. After the chorus, Raph played his sax solo, then Casey's organ solo & Leo's vibes solo. When Don's about to play the bass solo, Ex-Cel steps in & plays a guitar solo. Raph went over to his amplifier & turned it off. Then he slapped him in the head, as the band stopped.

RAPH: No guitar soloes, wetback!
EX-CEL: F*ck you!

Raph pushed him down on the floor. Ex-Cel gets up, unstraps his guitar & throws it, in which Leo catches his guitar. He shoots the finger @ Raph & then they started fighting each other. Casey got a hold of Raph while Mikey got Ex-Cel.

RAPH: This is not over! How about a death ninja fight?
EX-CEL: Let's settle this in the boxing ring!

At the lair's gym, there's a boxing ring. Raph enters the ring with Casey supportin him. Raph's got the head gear, gloves & red trunks While making his entrance, he spotted Mikey outside the ring, playing tympani music.

RAPH: Once I beat Ex-Cel, you're next Mikey! You & your stupid tympani!

Then as Mikey continued playing, Ex-Cel enters the ring with Leo supportin him. Ex-Cel's has the head gear, gloves & blue super sized trunks.

RAPH: Never thought I'd see you wear trunks dude!
EX-CEL: Only in the ring & when I play acoustic guitar.

Mikey stops playing as Don enters the ring, playing referee. He instructs the boys to have a good clean fight. The bell is rung & they start fighting while Mikey plays action music on the tympani. Raph fought hard to beat up Ex-Cel, but he had the moves (like Jagger LOL) to outwit Raph. When he knocked Raph down on the floor for a TKO, he went to him saying...

EX-CEL: Gonna make fun of my heritage? You gonna respect me like the other Turtles do?

Raph got up & said nothing. He was beaten.. As he left the ring, someone grabbed him.

SPLINTER: You're gonna tell me what's with you & your hatred over Ex-Cel.

In Splinter's room, they sat down as Raph told Splinter.

RAPH: Sensei, ever since that phony superhero entered our lives, Mikey thinks he's an idol! Mikey doesn't hang with us no more. He always hangs with that loser! Skateboarding, motorcycle patrol, crimefighting & band. It's not bad enough Ex-Cel plays jazz guitar, but he also plays the vibes that Leo likes & the tympani which gets Mikey thinking he's the coolest person around.
SPLINTER: The same with you & Casey?
RAPH: It's not like that!
SPLINTER: You sparring with Casey, driving motorcycles as that vigilante Night Watcher. The only thing you dislike is Casey playing organ in his band.
RAPH: Man, Casey only does it to support his wife & have something to do with his hands. But Mikey use to look up to me.

Raph remembers back when they first started out doing music. He & Mikey jammed in Fender Strat guitars and then they would take a turn on the drums. When Raph got a jazz guitar, Mikey played drums.

SPLINTER: Raphael, Michaelangelo is a bit crazy, but who he hangs with is very cool. So what if he's a little off-beat, he sees you in what Ex-Cel is to him. You have your human friend, let Miney have his.

Raph leaves his room & is about to go to the gym until he heard acoustic guitar music coming from Mikey's room. He enters & spots Ex-Cel playing wearing his boxing trunks, while Mikey listened. Ex-Cel stopped playing.

EX-CEL: You want more, Raph?

Ex-Cel puts his fists up, but Raph tells him no more fighting..

RAPH: Look man, even though you may look the superhero part, but rather play music, I think you're OK.
MIKEY: Huh?
RAPH: Don't push it! Anyways, I wanna apologize & am sorry to call you those racist names. Cool?

Ex-Cel shook his hands.

RAPH: Let me hear a guitar solo from you for tonight's performance.

Ex-Cel puts down his acoustic guitar & takes off the trunks to have his checkered Speedos on. Then Mikey handed him his electric guitar & started doing a cool solo!

That night, the Turtles put on their Valentine's concert. In addition to the songs they rehearsed, they also covered "Caravan" that featured Ex-Cel playing a guitar solo & Mikey on a drum solo (with Ex-Cel chunking chords).

Casey got to show off his organ skills, but also shock everyone by singing as well. April was the only one impressed.

Near the end of the concert, Raph intros the band.

RAPH: Besides myself on sax, give it up for Don on bass, Casey on organ, Leo on the vibes & Mikey on the drums.

Mikey gave a dirty look thinking Raph dissed his friend.

RAPH: And oto close the show, on guitar, Ex-Cel Dude!

Ex-Cel goes behind his amp & puts on a cowboy hat on.

RAPH: OK, you look ridiculous. Why the cowboy hat? It's Valentine's Day, not the opening of a dude ranch!
EX-CEL: It also marks Arizona's 100th year of their statehood!

Ex-Cel played a country type guitar solo. Then he switches over & sings something romantic to impress Mallory.
