Not that much of a surprise (he's done a lot of various voices in different shows), but still pretty cool to know.

Lol, I know right. He and KMR must be bajillionaires with the obscene amount of characters they've been voicing the past couple of years.
Maybe we'll see Nathan Drake make a cameo.

this is sort of a secret... but i will share it with you anyway... voice actors are allowed to voice more than one character on the same show ;)

For Chrissake, he's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXA1ISDsHVA) Nolan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is65rL9aPws) North (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmjHbM8Up5o)!
Isn't there a limit to how many characters an actor can portray in any production though?

We've had two Leos in The Legend of Koji, two Shredders in Leatherhead: Terror of the Swamps, two Mikeys in one Season 9 episode I can't remember, and now three Raphs in one show! I can't wait to see the credits if there are any other notable guest voices.

Well aren't they all part of a hive-mind? They might all have the same voice.
Or, maybe he's doing one of them and each of the other actors is also doing one. They're not going to have "thousands" of different Kraang voices throughout the season.

Interesting, especially the tweet from Astin making it seem like he'll be Kraang or one of the Kraang or however the heck that does end up working. :P
I'm hoping that by a stroke of luck we'll hear other former Turtles actors as the show goes on too.

Nolan North is such an amazing voice actor. He was great as the Penguin in Batman: Arkham City.

Can't really speak for North here, but Rob's voice wouldn't fit the image of Raph that used today. The OT Raph is different from the current more angsty, hothead.

I think they wanted to go for something different with Raph and didn't want to use two actors who had already voiced him. I think it's fine personally.

I literally laughed loud about that intro for "who the real Raphael is"! And Nolan North did audition for Raph for this show, like Rob almost did. And I could see Nolan North as the Kraang as his normal speaking voice sounds like a younger Pat Fraley's.
And since Rob is now Donatello, we could say two Donatellos for most of the OT (and literally two Dons on the first episode).
PS. Since Nolan was once an on-camera reporter in NYC, if Nick uses Channel 6 or some other news station, I'd like him to voice one of the crew members (perhaps a Burne Thompson-type character since the OT Krang also voiced Burne.) He was an intern for Peter Jennings one summer.

It's an interesting voice. I kinda wonder about this Kraang double talk Nolan mentioned.
I also find it interesting that North prefers Rob's Donnie to his Raph. That little tid-bit alone makes me excited. :D

I not sure if this has been said elsewhere, but I found it interesting that when North talks about auditioning for the Nick TMNT show, they they told him that they want to drop the whole Brooklyn accent thing. Which makes me wonder about Sean Astin's Raphael. I guess I just assumed he would have a Brooklyn accent.

I'm happy to hear that. Even though Pais is probably my favorite Raph, I get tired of the creators always being so over-the-top with making him a "tough guy". He doesn't need to talk like a New Yorker.

Agreed. The voice actors overdid it in the 2K3 toon & the 3rd movie.
That little sneak peak we got of Sean Astin's Raph in Rob Paulsen's Facebook video has me really excited. I think his Raph will be more subtle & realistic.

Same here. It was what kinda made Raph...Raph in a way. But I am cool with them taking a new approach to the voice. I think Astin will make a great Raph.:tgrin:

While not the Krang I'm used to, I'm liking Nolan's version. Though I imagine it might take some getting used to when it comes to hearing it come out of the Kraang. Should be interesting to see Krang as an entire species of beings rather than an individual. Makes me wonder if they'll make them aliens like the Utroms, or from an alternate dimension like the old school Krang.
