The Turnstone

Hey i missed collecting the earlier series of TMNT Archie, does anyone know the story behind the turnstone, i know Cherbae had it, and Krang wanted it, but whats history behind it, why are the sons of silence involved? Did the sons of silence Die? thank you for whoever answers it. It'll be great help

In "The Final Conflict" the TMNT battled alongside Leatherhead, Wingnut and Screwloose to help retrieve the Turnstone from Krang who blasted Cherubae away. However, she wasn't really dead. The Sons of Silence spirted her into another realm. Leatherhead found the Turnstone and was able to bring her back. Then Cher banished Shredder to prison and sent Krang to the waste dump world.

thanks dude , but what i was wondering. Why did the sons of silence save Cherubae? I dont understand the sons of silence's role, are they evil or not? And whats their relationship with the turnstone.

I think they were just alien allies/minions of Shredder. I haven't read the Black Hole Trilogy but I think the Sons of Silence were there and the Turnstone was involved in the major way. (are those issues online anywhere?)

Jess Harley stole the Turnstone from Mary Bones and it mutated him into Leatherhead. It's revealed in Final Conflicts that it was his destiny to find the Turnstone and give it to Cherubae when it was lost in the world they were fighting in. The Sons of Silence were attacking Cherubae and Leatherhead wishes them away.

In the comic strips (very hilarious!), Jess still steals the Turnstone and still mutates into Leatherhead. He tries to get the Turtles to attack Mary Bones (after he tried to eat them but they convinced him they were zombie voodoo chicken). This time, Mary give the Turnstone to the Turtles, saying it was fate (Leatherhead gets banished to Disneyland. LOL!). Donatello figures out that the Turnstone isn't magic but an advanced alien device. Turns out it was created by the Utroms...which leads to them being turtle-napped...forced to capture evil mutated mutagen beasties...meet Santa Claus in the North Pole... but that's a whole other story :P

Also, Krang's tracking device turns into a bird, which becomes Rocksteady's pet when he and Bebop become nudists.

LOL, they didn't really become nudists. If you remember, they were sent to an Eden world, which is obviously based off the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve were first born and free to wonder the place in the buff.

You're right. I think they wore green leefs. I think in the Slash issue (20-something) they return and comment how the Eden World was fun, but they miss their clothes. Then they knock over a pet store which carries wart hog chow and release some animals at the zoo.
