The grading it self is $35 per figure (value of $200 or less), and it gets more expensive as the value of the figure increases. You can have it cleaned for an additional $3 which i always have done. You can also get high resolution photos taken, a grading summary, UV case etc for additional charges. Turn around time is 30-40 business days.

You pay for shipping there and back (usually $12 both ways).

Total this figure was 35+$3+$24 = $62 to get graded.

You save a little on shipping if you do more than 1 at time.

Maybe because the Pop-Up Sticker may have been added in 1989, but it didn't affect revising the back cover. And with such high prices to get it graded, I'd say if the value is under $250 (meaning all but the rarest TMNT), I just don't think its worth getting any TMNT figure graded given how eBay works.

Selling on Ebay is definitely frustrating with the 7.5% seller fee.

I saw an AFA grade 85 1988 Donatello Hard Head go for over $100 (it was about $110). The grade really helps though if you are a buyer because you actually know what you are buying. Many sellers have no idea as to the condition of the figures they sell. Buying a graded figure gives you piece of mind. Graded figures also bring in more money when they are re sold.

I agree it is expensive, but if i ever re sell them, they will be that much more desirable. I can only hope they will each be worth $250 one day. We need more movies to come out.

OH! I did submit a Genghis Frog with a green belt (off) to be graded recently, so i am really excited for that. Currently its the most valuable figure i have. I have always wanted a no stripe april but haven't found one that i like yet. April is really light too, her packaging seems to be in better condition than other heavy figures like bebop/rocksteady/traag, so i don't know where all these damaged Aprils come from.
