Ill just start a thread for my stuff as it comes in from AFA for anyone that wants to take a look. All comments appreciated. See my earlier posts for don/mikey fan club, and shredder pop up.
Splinter pop up came in the mail today. The 80 card is from the slightest surface wrinkles on the upper right side of the card. Playmates cards damage very easily.

Those look great in the cases, but isn't it pretty expensive to get all of them done?

Yeah, there's a few pieces in my collection that I wouldn't mind getting graded, but I'm worried they'd either grade low, or get damaged or lost in shipment.
Yep, I've been here in Tucson for almost 7 years now... I work out of Davis Monthan. Active Duty Air Force.
It's ok down here, but the Phoenix area is a lot more fun... :)

Thanks for your photos Joe.
Seeing them on card reminds me so much of being a kid. Before I had even seen the cartoon, I saw these figures on the shelf at Wal-Mart around the time they first launched. I didn't know what they were, or what the cartoon was, or the comics, all I knew was that apart from the figure itself looking unlike anything else in stores at the time, the ART on the packaging really captured my imagination. I think the art sold me on them as much as anything.
I was 7 or 8 at that time. A few years later I would start getting big into comics. So it's no wonder.
You say you "recently" started collecting. You must have a lot of $$$ laying around to invest in these mint-on-card figs!
Thanks again!

Carded or not, Movie Stars are really neat and anyone who has them is a lucky duck.

Do you mean THIS genghis the frog with bagged grenades?
Just arrived today. Took 10 days to get here cause of the storms, but i am just happy to have it. It looks a lot better than the pictures that the seller had on eBay. There were 2 watchers on it too, not sure what they were thinking.
Thanks for looking.
yup thats the one :)

Here is a box of toys from my child hood. There are some soft heads, and some even have all of their limbs.
There's a toxic avenger, and he man but I always gravitated toward tmnt.
Still a wonderful find for your awesome collection. I have dreams where I finally come across a box and find all my old figures from my childhood. :tlol: Very Happy for ya man, just awesome!

You know there is an under cover leo on eBay right now, could be yours.
Yeah I know I'm the bidder on it right now I made an offer but the seller said he rather let it bid out so hopefully I can get lucky and win I did get a loose one this week it should be here tomorrow so I'm glad I at least have a loose one cause this is by far my favorite figure

I think I've seen those ones. I've been following every update u make in this thread

Shogun Triceraton graded the worst ironically. I got this figure from MyTeeFineStuff to try to ensure it would grade 85, but no dice. It graded 80 overall with sub grades C80 B80 F85. I buy figures from there to avoid buying twice and thrice.
lol w.e, 80 is bomb.

Lol poor mutagen man is armless. Awesome figs btw! I've always been rough with my stuff not to mention all the garage sales my parents have had. All I have is pictures of me getting toys as gifts left for me to reminisce :'(

Today was a marvelous day to say the least. Two bomb figures were waiting for me when i got home. I can't wait to get them graded.
Two genghis frogs were listed on eBay recently like this and they were actually the same figure, so i tracked down the seller of the auction that did not sell and we made a deal.
Thanks for looking.
Fan club Splinter!!!! Superb : I know its just a small piece of paper under the bubble but it just looks sooooo wicked cool.

Do you have to pay extra for the case or are they included in the the AFA grade price?
Bocce
01-28-2013, 09:23 PM
The case is included with the $35 non-member grading fee for figures valued at less than $200.
You will have to pay for shipping and handling both ways in addition to the grading fee.
Sorry for the FAQ's but how do I know if my figure is valued more or less $200. does AFA have a price guide?

They value the figure for what ever you want it insured for return shipping. They do not have a guide, but know what unreasonable is.
This Hydro Skimmer just got to my house today. I am really excited to have a blitz cycle, and a hydro skimmer MISB. These are pretty tough to find, so im happy to add it to my collection.
Thanks for looking.
