Hi, just wanted to let everyone know that phpBB2 was released recently, and I have been working on modifying a template to match the site design and the current forums. But since there are lots of new features in the new version, I wanted to ask your opinion on this: Should I upgrade these forums as soon as I'm done with the template, or should I give a link to a test installation of phpBB2 so that you all can test it out before I upgrade these forums?

So far, I have been very civil about the whole SPEEd situation. We would be more friendly, and we were at first, we welcomed him aboard. But then he started with the spamming and was given several warnings. He may be friendly in real life, but he was very disruptive and rude here.

And back to the topic, I would like to check out a test run.

Ok, the test board is up. Please note that it is using an old database backup from February 24, so if you registered here before that date, you can login with your usual username and password, but if you registered here after 2/24/01, you will need to re-register on the test board. When I upgrade this board to 2.0, all the messages will still be here and nobody will need to re-register. And remember, all messages posted on the test board will be deleted. Also note that the template it is using is the one that this board will use, but I will still change the colors and graphics to match the site. About that dream sequence...I think it'll be interesting if you do it in ATFT...but you could implement it in any RPG that you want, so Frost has the dream instead of me. I think that'll throw an interesting monkey wrench in any of the RPGs :grin: Good idea, Machias!

I dunno...it was supposed to happen this weekend. I think Krang was unable to upgrade because of the problems that the Technodrome has been having.

Sorry, because of the server problems, I had to move the upgrade to Tuesday. Hopefully, the problems will be gone by then. Also, the server is out of disk space again, so I can't upload any files right now anyway...

If everything goes well, I will hopefully be able to upgrade the forums this Friday. While I'm upgrading, the forums will be down, but you can use the Test Forums (http://cs3.thetechnodrome.com/phpBB2/) until the upgrading is done. Please note though that all messages posted on the Test Forums will be deleted soon after the upgrade.
