For a serious villain, I'd pick Bishop. For not as serious, I'll go with Mutagen Man. That design is way too sick and disturbing to be ignored, especially for today's animation and standards. Besides, he needs more character love.

KM,I learned it from the Nick section in this very site. A person involved in the show said that about MH and LH.It probably buried in one of the threads. If you find the Rat King please post it here.

As for Pizzaface I think there are more deserving.No hate just I would rather have others.

Rat King was in SNES Tournament Fighters and in his two video game appearances is tough to beat so why not include him in Battle Nexus?

I never thought the 87 series would use Usagi, either, but it did happen. I don't know if Nick would go there, but it would continue another TMNT animated tradition. (Besides, he tends to bring the best out of Leo, judging from Mirage canon and the 2003 series.) Anyone know if Stan Sakai would go for it?

The character along with Leatherhead and Baxter Stockman have appeared in virtually every TMNT series outside of the movies. They're like the 3 main secondary villains/recurring characters outside of Shredder and the Foot.

I am not acting as if he is not I just want a citation to confirm that he is. I hope we get a portrayal similar to the one in the original cartoon. That character was interesting yet we never saw why he was the way he was.

Oh, of course. I was more interested on how the 87 series was able to, when Laird obviously wasn't as involved. If anything, it would be that kind of situation again (and not to mention dealing with additional copyright issues). It is a pity, but that's the way it goes.

As for the Rat King, the odds are that he'll appear, but what form? Quite a bit to choose with, between the Slayer, spiritual guide or would-be conqueror of the sewers.

The Mirage comics don't have many villains to begin with.

They kept Shredder/Foot obviously, used Baxter, Leatherhead and Rat King, and Krang was loosely based off the Utroms.

Other than that they only ever used the Triceratons once and that wasn't until Season 7. Odd that they didn't use Karai either but we had Lotus Blossom who is a similar character.

To help vindicate some classic figures, Scratch and Hot Spot. More realistically, Rat King and Usagi (obvious as they've appeared in more incarnations than any other character listed). I'd still kill to see Bebop & Rocksteady given how popular they remain with us.

I wouldn't mind seeing some FF characters reinvented for modern time, I always thought Viral and Shoko'nobo were interesting, as well as the Inuwashi Gunjin and Torbin Zixx.

No, they do, but they don't stick around or die within an few issues. Besides the recent introductions of Hun and Bishop, there's Complete Carnage, Bloodsucker, Marlin, etc. Now, in terms of being iconic, like Leatherhead, Baxter and Rat King, that's another story. The closest might be Carnage, as he had, what, three Mirage appearances?

As for pannoni's comment, I'd love to see Scratch and Hot Spot, but what are the odds of that happening? Which makes me sad, but that's life. And I'll address the Karai/Lotus issue another time or post.

A lot of people favor Rocksteady just because they like rhino's more. That and was it just me, or did Rocksteady seem slightly smarter than Bebop in the old show?
