But an instrumental would be cool. OR what if they go the Avatar route and have the intro be an "explanation" for the series premise? I mean, I know EVERYONE knows what the turtles story is (except Michael Bay apparently) but maybe it's something they'd do for the younger generation whose first time being exposed to the turtles is this series?

I wouldn't want it as the theme, but since the music of the show is said to be largely hip hop, I'd love for them to use Ninja Rap at some point. Maybe just one time as a cameo kind of thing.

As for the theme...it'd be cool for it to be a reinventing of the '87 toon's theme. Especially if the episode intro is a sequence that kind of explains the show's set-up (much like the '87 toon's intro). Though I wouldn't be apposed to something completely new.

I don't have a problem with hip hop. To me, it's always been an appropriate choice for TMNT; both being born out of NYC.

Whatever it is, I think they'll end up with something pretty catchy. All the TMNT shows have had decent theme songs, even The Next Mutation (though I was displeased with the replacement crap they came up with for the Netflix / DVD version).

But I don't think anything will ever top the classic original TMNT theme song. In fact most 1980s cartoons had theme songs that combined great hummable tunes with top-notch instrumentation and lyrics that broke down the basic premise of the show in around 30 seconds. Though I guess that continued into the 1990s, didn't it?

Yep thats what I wanted to say! They probably end up with something that looks like it, cause throughout the trailer I also heard it. A constant "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles...", ending with "..heroes in a half shell, Turtle Power!"

I smiled when I heard that!
