I applaud IDW's work thus far, this is undeniable. After all, this new TMNT series has in fact been my first excursion into an ongoing series (collecting and anticipation wise atleast). What heights do you see the series going to? What expectations do you have? I know this is a commercial product and the bottom line is to sell. I just would like to witness the book reaching an earned/deserved acclaim in the levels of writing, art, etc.

I am glad that it is borrowing from the other media that I love so much. I nevered cared much for the black and white comics because it refused to do so. So far its shown to be an intriguing characterization piece which I applaude as well. I think the mouser story could have been told in three opoosed to four but I do like the fact there are a few ongoing plots that will take some time to tell. It has alot of plot potential going for it and aside from the reincarnation bit likewhere its going. Something for most fans of the franchise is always a plus. I think its great to see Kevin involved again and gives me a boost of faith in a comic company I know nothing about. Cracking the top #1 is hard to do even for the TMNT since its o strongly other media driven. All I can say is kudos to the whole IDW team on that!:tgrin:

Looking forward to the plot of Krang's background being explored and who those empty cages belong to plus this war Shredder is involved in.

The potential? It's hard to say because Tom Waltz can literally go in any direction he wants to and it's hard to predict.

It's clearly not similar to Mirage anymore, but it's not a full blown remake of the cartoons either.

It's very similar to the reboots of Spiderman and Batman, a fresh take on the series that uses elements from past incarnations.
