Neca custom, Raphael the shredder.

So i have just finished making my first ever custom action figure from a bootleg Neca michelangelo i got off ebay and thought i might aswell post some pics on here,
I have tried to base this custom on Raphael from Image vol.3 when he wore the Shredder armour but ive given the armour a more Mirage-ish look, i think im gonna change the belt in the future but for the moment im happy enough with it.

@Andrew NDB, if i had of ever known that Frank Fosco was gonna see this custom i would have tried to give the armour more of a Image look. i dont have any purple materail so this is the best i can do for now.

And you say you made the armor (including the hand claws) with apoxie sculpt? How sturdy do the claws feel? I'm always skittish about sculpting thin pointed pieces like that with it.

This really cool and a very original custom design to tackle, you nailed it though. I don't have volume 3 anymore to compare but I think I would have added more scarring to the burnt side of his face but that is just me. Great job on the sculpting of the armor, great GREAT custom way to go. :tgrin:

Yes i made all the armour with apoxie sculpt, for the hand claws i used strong wire to start with and scuplted the apoxie around that, all the armour feels strong and when i pose the figure nothing feels like its gonna snap off.

This is some awesome work! Image TMNT customs... I think we need to see more! That face sculpt is great, the damaged grimace is cool to see and I have to agree with what's being said about the armor work, it's pretty amazing. Can't wait to see more!

That Raphael is so awesome, I would like to see the Raphael head used because he looks more angry, but how you molded those armor pieces is just profession looking and quite a nice standard for a Shredder custom Raphael..

Thank you and i think i should have sculpted the line of the eye a bit more mencing, but apart from that i dont think it looks to much less angry(i would say that tho:))plus my first custom is never going to be perfect.

ideally i should had ordered a Raphael figure in the first place, but back in march i was more curious to see what the quality of a bootleg figure was like because Ebay allways seems to be flooded with them, plus i did not have a clue then as to what sort of charater i was going to try and make and Michelangelo was the cheapest to buy, plus if id messed up my first attempt it did not matter one bit,
i may buy a Raphael and make an improved version some time later down the road but for the moment i have more important things to do with my free time, plus i think it would be ashame to let all the left over apoxie sculpt go to waste.
