TMNT Van in Long Beach ,Ca on Sunday!

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that I will be taking the TMNT Van to RCX at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach,Ca on Sunday. Also on display will be the Delorean from Back to the Future, KITT from Knight Rider, and the Magnum PI Ferrari. If you are in the area come check it out!!!

I wasnt trying to offend anyone. I just wanted anyone who was in the area and didnt know about me yet and wanted to see the van know where I will be. I have posted in other threads about other things. If you want to know something about me feel free to ask. I cant answer any questions if I dont know what they are.:tgrin:

Well, this is a fan site right? some people have toys, some people have autographs, etc..I just happen to have the Van. But hey, I understand you dont want to hear about it, thats cool. So I will not post about it anymore, the turtle community doesnt have to know what I am up to or the cool places I go with the van and the cool fans I meet. I have no problem with that :)

What happens a lot around here, especially over in the buy/sell section, is that people come simply to advertise their stuff to us, because they see us as being a target market. That's not exactly incorrect, but everyone who comes here to advertise something to us doesn't realize that we are actually fans, so we're pretty damn good and finding out about stuff on our own and sharing the information with each other. People would be more welcoming towards you if you were a guy who came here to chat TMNT and just happened to have TMNT Van. But instead all people have seen from you is TMNT Van this and TMNT Van that.

Yes, but fans discuss the franchise, we don't just come top show off our stuff. We come to have conversations with like minded people. I know I'm impressed by the van, but it does come off like a bit of a broken record when all but 2 of your almost 20 posts are about the van.

To be fair, if I had a TMNT Van, it'd probably be all I'd want to talk about, too. lol. :tgrin:

All of his posts have been friendly, and there's even been some "behind the scenes" stuff with the van. He's posted responses to people on the forums here... sure, they've mostly been about the van, but that's his "thing". He's the "TMNT Van Guy".

I'm not taking sides. I just feel a little bad, seems like we all ganged up on him a little. -shrugs- I know no one meant to be mean, though. When Jester suggested to "Talk to us and be a part of the community", it was an invitation to join us and get to know us, so we can get to know you! Anyone who's passionate enough to build their own TMNT Van is surely someone we'd like to talk to and get to know! ^_^

Anyway, that being said, I *do* like the idea of having just one post labeled "TMNT Van Schedule", like Roseangelo suggested. That way, you can just update the one post, and everyone would know where to look if they wanted the info. :tsmile:

For being a bay window, that looks nearly as good as the one Jay Ohlberg built. My only suggestions would be a 2-3 inch drop in the front. Get some fender flares and bigger tires for the rear, and find some suitable wheels and stick with them. If you can find them some Porsche "phone-dial" wheels would look good, possibly powdercoated green to match the paint.
