This is the lamest thing ever. Quite honestly, it's worse than murder.

I got the normal issue a long time ago (it shipped normally).

But the variant never shipped until now and it turns out this is the replacement.

I mean, I am not really that mad the variant got canned and that I already had it ordered since dcbservice.com requires you to order a month or two in advance...but this is my compensation?

yea... i'd get my money back as well. $12 for temporary tattoos just doesn't equal to a variant comic. besides... i don't think those tattoos are even worth the $12 you spent.

None of my anger/criticism in the first post had anything to do with the quality of the comic.

It was all directed at having been tricked into buying tattoos for $12 when I never would have paid over 50 cents for them.

I feel your pain on this one. I thought the whole Infestation 2 tattoo incentives were confusing from the get-go.

First, for Infestation 2 #1 there were two different RI B (25 copy incentives) - one was an actual signed variant cover of the issue (by Alex Garner) and one was just 25 tattoos.
Then, for the Infestation 2 TMNT #1 RI B there was only one RI B but no comic, just tattoos.

Here's how the PREVIEWS page from January solicited the Infestation 2 TMNT #1 (http://www.tmnt-ninjaturtles.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/PREVIEWS_IDW-Infestation-2-TMNT.jpg)...I guess in hindsight you can maybe deduce that the RI B was just tattoos and no comic but it wasn't clear at the time.

I totally agree that $12 for just tattoos is lame, especially when the Infestation 2 #1 RI B signed Alex Garner cover was the exact same price at DCBS. However, these are all incentives anyway and are designed to be "free" to retailers that purchase the designated amount of copies. We can look on the bright side...at least we didn't have to buy 25 copies of the comic just to get 25 tattoos, right? :)

you know, when i first read the title i was thinking, how dose this have to do with the comics, but now that I read what you wrote, i though..... wow, what a rip off! You really should join a temporary biker gang, why, to put the temporary tattoos on, cause i mean, whats a biker with out tattoos, i mean it's like, chuck with out the noriss! And while your at it, i'd but a bow staff, that's identical to Dony's of course, so you can whack the people who ripped you off with it, and then grab one of those tattoos and slap it on their face, then run em over with your motor cycle to make sure it stays on. that, is what you should do!

HAHA! No I was being facetious. At the end of the day, this is something your retailer should've made you aware of. IDW were advertising that this was to be the case two months before the book hit. Unfortunately not everyone reads PREVIEWS magazine to know, which is fair, because a lot of casual comics fans don't know or don't care about it.

The big problem is that some retailers don't read it either, and fail to tell their customers what's going on too. :P
