I wanted to title this post- Paleo: the comic that is harder to kill than the actual dinosaurs themselves”, but that sort of seems to trivialize the biggest mass extinction event in our planet’s history.

Therefore, I’ll simply take this opportunity to announce the introduction of Paleo: The Webcomic.

The content is going to be familiar to anyone who has read the original books, which is to say that we are going to start off with posting issues 1-8. However the new thing (and what I hope will keep me relevant), is that you’ve never been able to read these comics on your iphone- which is (as I understand), what all the kids like to do. In addition to the first 8 individual issues the TPB Loner story will appear on the new website.

Also, beyond all the known Paleo content, there exists a few unpublished works. With luck and a little effort, those too will be represented.

So- please come by the website twice a week as we journey through the Cretaceous (officially beginning to post pages this Wednesday). Interactivity is what all the kids want these days, so I’ll attempt to be a good host and leave comments/responses as we go along.

Lastly, I want to say that I owe huge thanks to Colin Panetta. The whole idea for this venture came directly from him and all the work for putting it together rests entirely on his shoulders. All through the idea and construction process, to now (the actual launch), while I attend to other things, Colin is quietly working behind the scenes on my behalf.

This is interesting. I have all the issues of Paleo and they're great, but the new stuff interests me more. Can't wait for those!

Good timing for Jim since dino properties are gaining steam these days, what with Dinosaurs vs. Aliens coming out and becoming an eventual movie, and Jurassic Strike Force 5 and the dino/army battle in DC's new war anthology G.I. Combat.

Hell yeah, new content? I'm all for that. The Paleo books, though subject wise weren't of my biggest of interest, were REALLY dope. I loved them.

Man I love Jim Lawson, and I love Dinosaurs. This is going to be kick-butt. I need to get the old comics and read them. I really dig this art, I also loved the Tales of the TMNT collection cover he did with the T-Rex on it.
