Um, I woke up today and the thread I posted about my video review of the first live action TMNT movie was deleted...

It was clearly posted in the correct area, so, confused?

I reposted it because it's relevant to the TMNT movie forum, being a legit review of TMNT the first movie.

I understand wanting to keep spambots and advertising to a minimum, but it's not like I one shot dropped a link and jetted outta the forum, just super excited to share my nostalgia with the other older people of the site.

After digging (We can see Deleted threads) I discovered an earlier thread by you from yesterday. The reason it was deleted is marked, but since I'm not the mod that handled it I'm going bring it up to him and ask if he wouldn't mind responding here. (I don't like to undo or question someone else's judgement.)

Hey chozo, that was me who deleted your original topic. I did so because the topics became trolling; basically every post following your initial post was some vets vaguely calling you out for posting your site, and your responses not really contributing anything except to mildly troll back ("cool story bro").

So far, your new thread is worded much better than the first, and not seeing the video itself I cannot comment on its contents, but should the thread take a nosedive like the original thread it'll be amended as well.

Wouldn't locking threads you don't like be better than deleting them? At least that way it you could say why you locked it instead of the thread randomly vanishing.

Rookie mistake?

I could, and may do that to at least cut down on future confusion before deleting it shortly afterward.

As more and more folks visit, the boards need to be "clean" and seeing a slew of locked threads clutters unnecessary space.

Knowing a mod just up and deletes threads without reason is one way to keep more people from joining.

I know it makes me question my participation.

If you had taken the time to read earlier posts, you'd have seen the reason the thread was deleted.

My comment was more in reference to Archon's mention that a thread was just deleted without comment.
I should have quoted that, you have my apology for my lack of clarity.

What about moving locked threads to a sub-forum - isn't that what the Disintegrator Unit used to be used for?

I also don't like the idea of mods deleting threads with no explanation. To keep things "clean," I would rather see an ongoing effort to merge threads that cover the same topics.

Honestly, everyone is blowing things out of proportion: I actually mostly do merge threads together, move to the DU, or delete as a final measure.

Understood.

I will however respond accordingly when someone calls me out, I don't like being pushed around.
