Is the members of it. Seriously. Why is it that a message board, dedicated to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is full of grown up babies that can't do anything but sit on here and complain about everything. They scare off new members by being A-Holes acting like this place is some holy sanctuary that unless you are considered among the ''Elite'' turtles fans. Oh lord, Not Casuals!!!:o

I really do honestly feel that this is an issue. Why is it that whenever someone comes here to sell their old stuff they get ragged on? But if you were looking for that item for years and all of a sudden someone joined just to sell that one item, you would conduct buisiness with them.

hyp·o·crite

Please, let's have a discussion about why some people on these boards seem to measure the amount of fan you are by how full your kitchen is of turtle toys or how you prefer colored bandanas over red.

Powder- Leave the modding to, ya know, the actual MODS.

Jester- Quit with the stupid jokes. You're not funny.

Gobo- Your jokes are even worse.

Archon- Your collection DOESN'T make you better than anyone else on here, or the fact that you're ''friends'' with Eastman.

Samhain- Quit telling me to die in a car fire.

These members (among others) is what is scaring off new member of this forum and what's worse is that we will have a new generation of KIDS cominng to this forum wanting to talk about stuff, and a lot of the SUPER ELITE, NON-CASUAL FANS are going to scare them all away. Shame shame shame. I'm not trolling. I want to have an open discussion about why this place is so damn negative.

Kindly hop off my gear shift, dude. I'm pretty sure calling out a bunch of people despite BEING a negative jerk yourself is counter productive.
& pardon me for being guilty of trying to keep a few people in line, helping the rules get followed hurts nobody.

I'm not trying to argue with you, son. I honestly just want to know why so many people here are always so negative and grumpy. I am negative with the people that I think are bringing this forum down and generally making turtles fans look like a bunch of snobs.

And there are mods for a reason. You doing their job for them isn't helping.

Hey man, I don't appreciate you throwing insults my way. I would prefer to keep this discussion civil. I never said the discussion on this forum are not good. Some are. And I appreciate reading them. But one of the reasons why I never really post is all the member seem to be a family on here and just jump on hating anyone and everything that isn't what they agree with. And in the end that is a bad thing.

If I ever take a tone that could be either considered negative or grumpy, it is for the same reason as you. People who do/say things without thinking, break rules, spam/advertise solely (ya know, make use of the board for non-community reasons exclusively) and thensome. More often than not, I post regular, on topic stuff. I value this place and the tight-knit groups of people in it, I dislike seeing people come here to mis-use it. & let's be honest here, some of our mods shouldn't even be mods.

You just did that. Seriously.

Did I miss something? when did Archon rub his collection in other faces and acting superior?

or getting high and mighty that he's pals with Eastman?

If someone comes here for the sole purpose of selling, how is that a bad thing? hey want to sell their stuff. That doesn't mean they are not just as much of a fan than you are. Maybe they just don't want any turtle crap. In the end, it only helps someone else on this forum with their collection. I don't see the issue.

I never said you don't contribute to discussion. You obviously post a lot. But the mini-modding thing is just annoying. The mods on this board were given that right to be a mod. If you really want to be a moderator, you should stop doing that.

Samhain is the exact same way. You and him should NEVER be made into mods.

Well you see, there's these things called opinions. That one in particular is mine, and you're more than entitled to disagree with it.

But what happens if someone joins today ad they are trying to sell your most wanted item ever. You have the cash to spend, do you PM and get the item? Even though they haven't reached the limit? I bet you do.

Yeah, surely it'd be within my best interests to gamble my wages on someone who joined the board and has no history to provide me comfort in trusting them. Even users who'd been here for ages have ripped people off recently, so no.

Speaking as a new member, and not trying to make a fight or anything, but sometimes the discussions can be a bit difficult to penetrate. And yes, I started a thread once asking a question, yes I searched for the answer, but it was buried deep in a thread that was at least 100 pages, and got my head bit off for starting the thread.
Altogether though if you aren't an ass and try to bring forth your opinion in a civilized manner everything is, for the most part, good.
I do find myself reading much more than posting though due to the fact that sometimes, I feel like I just get passed over because of my low post count or for other reasons etc.
On the other hand, some people, like luzmagica and plasticplayhouse have been extremely kind and helpful. Especially Luz who not only answered my questions regarding one of her cel's but pointed me to the guy where I was able to purchase my own.
In conclusion, everything I said was convoluted and made almost no sense, but this forum is a bit like that at times for me. Sometimes it is amazing, sometimes people get bitchy. Just like in real life. You have to remember that everyone here is a real person.
Also, turtles kick ass, and we hopefully all can agree on that

Why is it that a message board, dedicated to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is full of grown up babies that can't do anything but sit on here and complain about everything.

bcoz they want the whole world to be aware that they are not "gay" even if...nobody said anything abt them

I'd say you pretty much hit the nail on the head!

Moderation anyone? :tconfuse:

Case in point 1.

bcoz they want the whole world to be aware that they are not "gay"

Case in point 2. What the shell are you talking about? & would there be something wrong with any of us if we were gay?

I like how Archon gets attacked for his collection although he repeatedly jokes about how hes not full of himself.
And I seem to remember Grimlock doing the non-mod modding thing in a recent thread about Kevin Eastman, just saying.
Yeah there's a ton of negative Nancys on this forum, but that's just life on the internet, if it bothered me so much I could just go elsewhere. Hell I'm just excited to get in on one of these things before it goes to Disintegrator Unit

I'm pretty sure he's stated he was gay.

Any ways I've honestly never felt unwanted on here. And compared to other forums I belong to this place is like a care bears reunion.
