ahem, so the whole story begins with 4 good brothers coming home frm school one day. they went to some abundant garbage ground or something to fool around as usual, just like all the teen kids...but not until they found this unconscious giant rat in that sewer with some unique green ooze stuck all over his body... which changed their life once for good...blah blah blah...

I think this idea is a very bad fan fiction plot. I've seen fan fics where the Turtles are turned into humans, and most of them are pretty bad. There are a few good fics like this, but not many.

ok lets say they touched the ooze right when they tried to keep the rat in their observation container(donnie's idea)...and lets say these guys happen to have 4 infant turtle pets at home... and lets say they got bit by their pets one after another by accidence in the following days after they touched the ooze....now, since the ooze had already been absorbed into their body before their pets bit them, the turtles didn't get mutated. on the other hand....these boys body now got both the ooze n the turtle DNA which gradually interacted with each other n mutated them into gaint turtles...

and u kno wut, they don't have to change all at once in one day. this process could be lasting for a couple of days. also, they don't have to be bit by their pets all at once in once day. this accidence could happen in separate days after they brought the rat back to donnie's lab...

Oh BTW in IDW the guys were all teenagers. Splinter/Yoshi said it was 13 years after Tang SHen was killed. Leo being like 17, Donnie an Raph 14-16 and Mikey being 13.
It'd be an interesting else world comic. I had a an idea of one of the TMNT going to a different dimension and Meeting Human versions of themselves. Hell I even drew them. None of them looking like their IDW counterparts but still...
