It may be jumping the gun, but hey, who knows, maybe after Comic-Con, people will be selling them for more. And even when other's put up pre-orders, who's to say they won't be more expensive? I figured a total of $17 and change was about as good as I was going to get, so I jumped on it. And proud to have done so.

while that is a great cover, the inside is the exact same as the news stand issue. i'll save the additional $15 and use it to buy 4 other comics.

This was not a bad price to get this variant for. The con is in a couple weeks so there will be plenty of time to file a claim within the 45 day window if he doesn't deliver the goods.

By the way, does anyone know how many of the variant cover they let each person buy at SDCC?

I was looking at this comic thinking "I'll not be getting one of those as I'm not going to SDCC and overseas shipping is too expensive" when I suddenly realised I recognised the cover picture - it's the original concept cover art I got from Kevin Eastman at the London event just over a month ago!

The artwork says Book 12 across the top, so it was obviously originally going to be used for that but was abandoned in favour of another design. It's then been reused for the SDCC exclusive instead. Quite pleased with that - I was a bit disappointed when I saw that the art wasn't being used for issue 12.
