No clue why it says 2001. Issue 3 should be coming out this week.

You can't see if the cover says 2001 or 2002, or even the month, but up by the title (not on the cover) it says 2001 in parenthesis. That may be for when the series started. I don't think this is a hoax, because the site and company are rather well respected I hear. We'll have to wait 'till June to find out. You could always e-mail Dan and ask.

It says 2001, because that's when this new comic came out: December 19, 2001. Is it making sense yeeeeet? :grin:

HT's right, it means when the series started. the same thing confused me when i looked up the next issue of cerebus and it said 1977.
