I loved the theme song! I don't care what you guys think, it's awesome. And i feel that the new generation will love it even more. THAT SONG WAS AWESOME!!!!! I was seriously laughing at the computer, not because it was funny, and no, i don't have some sort of weird laughing disorder, but just because i loved it! And most of all........ THE TURTLES ARE BACK DUDE! I am gonna watch that a couple more times now.

And as for the training scene, i loved it, but rob's Donny voice is gonna take alot of time getting used to, but i'm sure the new generation won't mind it at all. I Like how mikey actually lasted for a while again Leo. I even like the anime aspect of it, I just hope the anime feel doesn't pop up too to much.

All in all both the videos were great, and i hope this show brings in a whole new generation of fans. TURTLE POWER!!!!

While I'm not crazy about hip hop and I always prefer rock, its good enough to fit the times, and I can always go back to my beloved Fred Wolf DVDs if I want the classic feel, but at least it has the same rough melody as the original series which can allow younger viewers to discover the original cartoon. The visuals are pretty good, but even the Mirage #1 tribute can't quite stand up to the iconic Fred Wolf and 4kids openings, though it may win the approval of "Generation Z" (those born in the late 90s and 2000s) as "their" opening. At least there is a banner to try to persuade people to support Direct TV from getting Nick back on.

I got used to hearing it, but it took a whole season for the groaning to die down. Mostly because of the drawn out "I love being a, I love being a, I love being a turtle!" and the constant "One! Two! Three! Four!" (and "it's a shell of a toooown!").

The main "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Heroes in a Half Shell, Turtle Power" parts are just fine by me. In fact, if they shortened it to not include the rapping parts, I'd be ecstatic. But whatever. Let the kids have their hippity-hoppity musics.

Really enjoyed all three videos and am now looking even more forward to the show! I love the opening and theme song (Especially that nice little nod to TMNT #1 at the end.), the animation is nice and fluid, the voices are awesome, the writing looks like a ton of fun, and I give them major points for making the Kraang legitimately creepy. Just saw the Opening video and the Training clip. I think the Opening is good, if you consider the target audience... I really liked the lil sketchy pictures of the turtles (a lot like the animatic we originally saw a couple years ago). Did Anyone notice Splinter's eyes were glowing RED in the very beginning?

The training clip was fantastic. I don't personally care of some of the anime touches, BUT.... I do like the action movements in the training clip. No slapstick physical 'stooge-fu', you could say. Raphael's voice really fits him - he's not the forty-year-old chainsmoker we met in 2K3. :D

And Splinter is one evil bugger... I can't wait to see what he puts the boys through. :evilgrin: He looks so HUGE... it must be part of the camera angle that they used in this clip.

Man, those clips were very enjoyable.

Usually the whole "anime-reaction" stuff turns me off (Like it did in Teen Titans and the similar stuff they're doing in Ultimate Spider-Man.) but it doesn't here. How odd. It might be the ultra-stylized, street graffiti-esque look of the show that makes it easier to swallow.

It is weird to hear OT Raph's voice coming out of Donny's mouth. That'll take some time to get used to.

As for the theme song: eh, not bad. The rap stuff is entirely disposable but the bookend lyrics sound great. The visuals are very nice looking, though! I'd rank it above the 2K3 stuff but below the original opening.

It looks like this'll be a really fun show to watch. Here's hoping the rest of the show is as good as those clips are.

Yeah that makes perfect sense. There's a new series coming out for my favorite franchise so I would want to hate it before seeing or knowing anything. I love this new theme song. It's upbeat without being overwhelming, the visuals are incredibly stylish, and it's just thrilling. End result? Goosebumps, which means they must have done something right.

I'm also liking it a lot more than any of the 2k3 themes, just because the lyrics are less over-expressed. And don't get me wrong, I love the 2k3 themes - but after a while they started sounding more and more obnoxious to me because the singing is so over-the-top.

I actually love it. I've seen a lot of complaints online about the hip-hop style, but to me, hip-hop has always been synonymous with TMNT. They were originally created at the same time hip-hop was starting to find it's audience in the mid 1980's, and hip-hop was featured very prominently in the first two live-action films. I think it's a great fit.

Also, I'm VERY fond of the throwback to the original theme and the first issue pose at the end of the intro.

It's possible to sing rather than rap those lyrics if you sing it in the OT style, except that you will need extra verses, especially for myself who prefers singing over rapping (watch the Coming Out of Their Shells Tour to see why!) I also put the Splinter verse before the Turtles since in tradition with the 1987 theme. I do wish there was a Shredder verse however rather than generic "bad guys" since both the OT and 4kids have them. I would compile karaoke friendly lyrics in the spirit of the original cartoon as follows:
