Looks like this is the new cover for it!! KE sold that piece on eBay a few months ago. It was a painting he made of issue 1...this isn't just a repaint of it

Oh, there was plenty of extras. I should know, I was stupid enough to pay full price at my LCS for it, lol.
It's got the first four issue (my first time reading them, it's a good start to a new series), several pieces of art from differing artists (including an Eastman piece or two), and at the back, all four issues layouts by the man himself. And it's all in a hardcover that's slightly larger than the Ultimate Collection books, which is impressive.
It was worth it (though, if another one comes out, I'll have to order it online, lol).

I too have paid the unfortunate comic book shoppe price for many a trade. I just recently scored the Ultimate Collection off Indigo. It was nearly half off with the membership card. Totally going that route for the rest of my collection.
Do you have any pics for a size comparison?
Cheers

Sorry it flipped like that *it seems to have happened during upload to Photobucket*.
It's pretty big, I can't complain about the size.

oversized? YAY! that makes it worth the price alone. I had no idea it was gonna be that big, I LOVE the size of the ULT books.

Does it have any art of the Variant covers for 1-4?

Well, it does have a decent sized art gallery in between the issues and the layouts, but I'm not sure I'm afraid I don't know what the variant covers are. If you have images of them, I would be more than glad to check for you.

No big deal, I will get it in the morning anyway : )
Thanks for all the pics and offering to check!!! I have only read #1 so far, as I hate to admit it but once I read about the Micros coming out, I pushed back reading till they finished, then once I read about Shredder, I was gonna wait for that arc to finish. Now I plan to read the first four via the hardcover since I don't really wanna bend any of my variant covers.
So I have almost a years worth of TMNT to read at once... this is gonna be great!!!

Anyone figure out what the "bonus variant 88th page" is on the layouts mentioned on the back cover? I skimmed through the book Saturday night and didn't notice much difference unless it's referring to the page being laid out differently than the finished product.

There's a page featuring Old Hob and his gang, with that woman standing next to him. On the page, there's two different layout pages shown. Essentially the same layout, but drawn differently. I think that's the variant page.

Bad news from Bobby guys...
"Hi Redumh2o,
There were no Eastman layouts beyond the first 4 issues. As such, there are no plans right now for other hardcovers. If the the first one does well, we can examine the viability of others, with maybe Duncan layouts, though those are considerably rougher than Kevin's."

Well, I would like to get hardcovers beyond issue 4 without any layouts but with 8 issues per book instead.

So he did layouts only for the first four issue? That's odd, I thought he was STILL doing layouts for every issues till now.

That would be great. Something like their Ultimate collection volumes: 8 issues per volume with some behind the scene stuff like annotations and sketches.

My copy was waiting for me when I got back from Comic-Con (too bad - it would have been perfect to get signed). Anyways, I'm reallyreally impressed with it. Glad to see every Eastman layout page printed! And Kevin still had a few of the originals left to sell at Comic-Con, so I was able to finally grab one for myself - Woot!

I really wish they had collected other ones together like this.
Might of been too expensive... maybe just through in sketches and layouts or other in depth stuff? At this point I high doubt anything like the first would come out.
