I was doing a little reading on Krang (wikipedia so it may be wrong) and I don't remember this at all, but it said that Krang wasn't originally a brain and that he was stripped of his body. Is this true?

They tell us this in Season 1. He was banished from Dimension X and was stripped of his body.
In Season 7 we see what Krang might have looked like with a body.

Yeah I remember him being banished. Just not about him being stripped from his body and turned into a brain. Watched the first season recently (must not have heard it because I have an evil 2 year old that screams constantly )
And then don't they show a flashback of his race in Dimension X or something and they are all brains too??? :o

Yes but that's what we call a retcon. :D

That's what I figured. Like I said I was reading wikipedia (yes, I know) and on there it said that was one of many mistakes within the series and has been contradicted many times on the show. So I had to check up on all that.

Yeah, he had a body in Dimension X.
Speaking of brushing up on the OT, I need to do the same. I need to get all the seasons again, and just have a marathon.

The great thing is with Season 10 coming out on August 16th, we now finally have the entire OT on DVD.
Finally all 193 episodes...its a dream come true.

Well, I guess that means, if I can get all dvd's around that time, I have about a month to watch all the episodes. I'd like to, anyway.

You and me both, I only have the first season. Not on DVD either. Amazon Instant Video on PS3.

If you watch around 3-4 episodes a day shouldn't be that hard. Remember each ep is only 22 minutes, so it would only take you 88 minutes a day of viewership.

I've started watching the show again. I'm still on the individual releases, volume 3. I'm loving it. I really forgot how much fun it was. I know I give it a hard time, but in fairness it is goofy fun.

How do you know Krang's the only lifeform in Dimension X to have his brain seperated from his body? It's possible creatures in that world had a habit of shedding their bodies due to increased intelligence.

No, it's the Krangazoid clones who develop bodies. It doesn't say what Krang's body was like.

And they are Krangs clones, regrowing bodies.

Remember the Shredder clones in the 2003 show, they didn't look like Shredder.

they weren't properly Shredder clones cause Shredder on the 2k3 series was an Utrom, not a human.
and the comics clones was failed experiments 'til they got the "perfect" clone.
The Krangazoids started out as physical impaired as the Original they where cloned from. Then they started to regenerate back to the former form

I doubt the writers had created the Utrom Shredder concept when season 1 of the 2003 show was created.

K-Mart has the early seasons nice and cheap, too, which is where I got mine. In fact, I got Season 4 and 2 of the Season 3 DVDs, today. (I'll be geeking out on that in the next several weeks, as I haven't seen the early parts of Season 3 or all of Season 4, since seeing it as a child in 1990.)
Putting aside the Krangezoid design for a second, where else did the series address what his original body might looked like? Because I do recall the Four Muske-Turtle episode, as Krang recalled others like him in a flashback. One of them even had an old man 'stache. Heh.

Unused possible design how Krang's body might have looked like as a toy

That Krang toy body concept looked awesome, would've loved to have seen it in the show and as a toy.
Now we don't really know if Krang had a real body. They mention a lot his banishment to earth and they mention he doesn't have his body in S1, however it's left ambiguous. I mean Krang says he lost his body and he wants Shredder to build him a new one, which is just a robot body, so maybe his body was just his robot body that he lost when he was banished. The Rock Soldiers recognize him immediately and just ask "what happened to your body?". While most would assume he's talking a bout a real body if youj look at the context he may very well be referring to an android body he lost and not an actual biological one. We also have a flashback that we see Krang with three more members of his species. The episode where we Krang clones himself they start growing into lizard like aliens and they grew a body which is mentioned but it's never mentioned that it was actually Krangs body, just assumed by most. I mean it's clearly supposed to be a retcon that it's Krangs body, it's implied but never told outright and counting we do have evidence on the contrary I personally choose to believe that is indeed his body.
TL;DR I like to think of OT Krang as an evil Utrom a la Ch'rell.

I tried doing about 5 episodes in my marathon of the oT, it works out well. S4 was pretty painful though, 2-3 episodes was all I could take. Like every show there's episodes that are better than others and sometimes you can marathon more than 5 episodes easily and sometimes making it through 1 is difficult, still it took me about 3 months to watch the entire show, not bad I think.

The second half of Season 4 is better, once the theme song changes to the second one. Although the first half has some gems like, "Shredder's Mom," and so forth.
It was obvious Season 4 happened due to the extreme popularity of the series and they had no idea what to do...otherwise the series would have ended with Season 3.
