So I've been thinking lately about Ghosts and hauntings lately. I was wondering if any of you have experiences you'd like to share. How do you guys feel about these kind of things? I have a couple experiences that I could share, but before I do I want to make sure people would be interested in hearing them.

I don't remember having any experience with ghosts but I really enjoy anything dealing with ghosts and hauntings. :tsmile:

Yeah I haven't had anything malicious happen so far which I'm lucky for. I'll post about them soon. I just was hoping other people would share their experiences.

I would be interested in reading about your experiences even though this topic might scare me. When I was younger, a girl in my class did quite a lot of glass moving so we did that a few times at my home. Nowadays I sooo wouldn't touch a glass for such purpose anymore. Unfortunately sometimes you don't know if someone tries to fool you or if there's really more to a thing.

I've personally never had any experiences with the supernatural, but my mom has told me this story more than once about one of the houses she lived in for a time growing up that had something going on in it.

She was told that years before she lived there some men had gotten into a fight in the living room of the house one night over a card game or something and one of them was stabbed and subsequently died. My mom lived there in the late 1960s and it was an old house even then. The floors were wooden and there was a blood stain on a spot where the victim allegedly died, and no matter how they cleaned it the stain never came out. Anyways she said she never saw anything, but on some nights they would hear unfamiliar voices talking, sometimes growing into what sounded like a heated argument and footsteps in the room. My grandpa tried to calm their nerves by assuring them if they did see or hear anything it was only spirits and they couldn't do anything to harm them.

I've an old friend that reappears from time to time following her passing. The first time it happened, I nearly crapped myself, but now, it's almost like second nature. I only wish she were able to stay longer :(

....these experiences are always difficult to share even with the apparent anonymity of the internet, there will always be people who say something like: you're a gullible, you are a bit naive, you had hallucination, you take drugs, you do not know the laws of physics or whatever .... :ohwell:

I have seen ghost....Nothing scaring....just like a moment flash of someone that no was actually there, not in my home, not even in my country, not a member of my family, but someone enough close for my friend to be recognize for the specilly uncommon dress she was using...(light purple summer dress with orange and black elongated spots) a dress that my friend remebered and confirmed that the clothes I had seen belonged to her great-grandmother long time ago....

Aye. There was actually a post about ghosts that I read somewhere, where someone went on a tirade, flinging insults about how stupid is to believe in ghosts... then was like "Now aliens, those definitely exist."

Ha ha, hypocrite much?

Up here in Ontario there is a company call "Haunted Walks" they operate in two cites, Kingston and Ottawa. We took the walking tour in Kingston. It passes by the cemetery, jail, town hall etc. And they explain the history of tragedies that happened and strange experiences that have occurred since.
Like in the old Library that had once burned down with some school children trapped inside, and now they can't keep night cleaners employed for more than a couple of months because they see strange things.
I'm not sure if I believe them all, but it was a great tour, wicked storytelling and you got to see the city at night in a different perspective.
I won't take the tour in Ottawa, where I live, I pass by those buildings too often.

I used to not believe in Ghosts. It is definitely one of those things that until it happens to you it is hard to believe. It is easy to write things off as people just not paying attention, being out of it, or high. In fact I used to make fun of those kind of people. Then I moved to Oregon. That changed everything.

I had gotten my first place with a friend from work. We worked opposite sifts so it worked out fairly well, we weren't getting in each others way. At first I thought he was just messing with me. I'd wake up and my wallet and keys would be moved.

On one of our joint days off I asked him about it. He told me he thought I was doing it to him. So half joking around because I thought he was lying I said, "Listen up. If there is something here either start paying rent or get out. Your choice."

Well things started getting worse after that. We woke up to our freezer opened and everything in it gone, wallet in the garbage disposal. Things just weren't great. So again not believing it was a Ghost, my roommate did though, I said again, "Look, these stupid little games got to stop. You want us to know you're here then do something that we know is you."

I got my wish. THe next morning I was asleep and I heard things being slammed around. I thought my roommate was tearing his room apart. I called out his name, it stopped. SO I figured it was him. Then it started again. I got out of bed and went to his room as things were being slammed around. No one else was home.

From that point on things would fall of of the counters, tv would turn on and off, and we would hear someone walking around. It never got violent towards us where it tried to hurt us though. But it made me a believer.

So recently at my place here in Utah our electronics are turning on and off by themselves. My roommate scoffs at me when I suggest something is going on. Today though while he was getting ready the TV and the Playstation turned on and he was the only one around.
