They are and I thought they were pretty funny. Writers hardly get any respect, without them there would be no show.

Yeah, a little bit too Raph...
What else can I say but awesome? Well, except OH MY GOSH THEIR WEARING SUPPORT THE FOOT HATS! This does not bode well for our heroes if the writers themselves are allied with the Foot! ;)

I've gotta say, these guys cracked me up. Obviously playing on the writers-aren't-appreciated-enough schtick (which, as we all know, they're not), they had the right blend of silliness and sarcasm to entertain me. Maybe the show won't be as "slapstick" as the promotional material has had me guessing.
I absolutely love that guy's severe discomfort when the writers were singing for him.

Those guys were hilarious! Poor writers, they are so under appreciated.

Funniest part was Russ making fun of Bebop and Rockateady. Pretty spot on eh?

Fifty bucks say that if the hacks who write the IDW books did the exact same thing, you'd be kissing their ass
Let them have thier fun. Writers for this kind of show need to have this light side to things.

Kevin Eastman who helps with the story and Tom Waltz who actually writes it...?
Hacks?
I don't think so Tim.

Huh? I haven't even read the IDW stuff yet, other than a couple of issues (which didn't give me enough of an impression to figure out whether or not I like it yet). Why would I kiss their ass? And um...isn't Kevin Eastman co-writing it?
The reason why I said "I'm guessing (or at least hoping) these guys aren't actually writers for the show." was because I got the impression that they were actively trying to irritate people and mocking the fans and legacy of TMNT by dismissing everything that's not in the new version, which seems like a pretty bad way to promote a new show (and represent a business).
I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to have a bit of fun with it, but I get the impression they're trying to give the new show a bad reputation, which seems like an odd thing for employed writers to do.

That stuff was done tongue in cheek. Although I think they may have taken it a tad too far here or there when razzing some fans. It was done in jest.

HA! That was great! And the funniest thing of all is that they signed more copies of the giveaway comic than I did at the show -- and I (really) WROTE it!
:tgrin:
Good stuff!
Talk soon...

Tom "The Hack" WaltzWelp, you have my respect - for that, if nothing else.
I'm pretty sure I would have had the actors sign my hat, were I there. It doesn't make sense to have them sign a comic book in which they had no direct involvement.

The fact that he swore during the same part about mikey more tyan once was hilarious. I think that was how he intended the lyrics to go. Lol

Wow, that's real ****ing mature! :trolleye: Seriously, if these guys really are the writers, why the hell aren't they holding up a sign that looks like something a hobo made, and not at the Nickelodeon booth?
ToTheNines
07-20-2012, 07:25 PM
Because they're no names.
If you want to be an ignorant putz and not believe me, watch their other videos, they take place in Nickelodeon offices. Also they have IMDB pages and I follow them on twitter.

Okay, I made an honest mistake. Jesus, you don't have to be a dick about it! From my perspective I thought they were a couple of guys making fun of people who liked the TMNT.

Funny stuff. The new trailers have had me laugh out loud, and these guys did as well. Nice to see that hilarious consistency.

Yup, I watched this again, and it's still funny. Hardly anybody respects the writers. I was watching the Big Bang Theory panel and it seemed like the answer to every other question was, you're gonna have to ask the writers... It's like people forget that these actors actually have to learn lines that other people wrote.
