What do you think Krang's most powerful weapon was? I think it was the minimizer because it could shrink entire cities and military bases.

Im gonna go with the Technodrome. It seemed that the villains just could never get enough power to use it very effectively (for the most part).

I voted his Rock Warriors and the Technodrome.

Technodrome. A lot of other weapons can also be produced inside it, espceicially when it's full-powered up.

Wasn't it supposed to be the shockwave, I'm sure I remember him saying so in Wrath of the Rat King. That being said it was fairly easy for the turtles to beat the Rat King while he was using it.

It was his most powerful weapon(aside from the Technodrome) you are correct. It was the only arsenal that he had yet to use since his banishment to Earth. The Shockwave was a force ray blaster that could level a city block with a single blast. The only reason it just took a few minutes to beat Rat King when he was in possession of it was because of time constraints for the show and played up the turtles's new found emo edge.

As far as his greatest weapon? He is an idea man and do to his state is limited even in the robotic body. He had Beserko build the Technodrome for him and Shredder build him a new body. Those two things would be his greatest and second greatest weapons but Krang himself did not build them. Despite that his intelligence and sadistic manner is his greatest weapon. Shredder may have some honor code or some side vendetta he considers more important to conquering and ruling while Krang views the TMNT among other things as just reoccuring pest in the way not neccessarily an enemy.

The Technodrome is a given for first place, definitely, but, for second place, I'll say the android body when it's animated properly. Other than a handful of episodes -- most particularly "Shredder is Splintered" -- it rarely got to show off, which is a real shame. "Shredder is Splintered" is outstanding in that while the body's design may have been bizarre, the episode proved that it can be an actual threat with a rather wide range of abilities.

Third place would be the Rock Soldiers, when, again, given the chance. Excluding "Hot Rodding Teenagers" for a moment, another good spotlight of the typical Rock Soldier is "Turtles On Trial" (which I've now seen on DVD and now love to pieces). The episode had them not only punch through a brick wall with ease and speed, but subdued the security guards just as quickly. Again, they didn't get to show off too often, either, but the aforementioned episodes demonstrate what a threat they can be.

They or Krang's allies could count in terms of the "Big Blow Out," as they were supposed to shoot down New York City or anything else in their way. Not counting their error at the climax with the whole mistaking the Technodrome for Earth. Yeah...

All that said, mikeandraph's suggestion with Krang's intellect and general disregard or indifference for anyone in his way (as Baxter found out the hard way) shouldn't be ignored, either.

The big break-in was the second time Krang tried to kill someone. He was going to flatten those populated army bases with the Technodrome.

Technodrome because it is just an amazing technological feat. Its a mobile fortress that can manufacture soldiers, weaponry, etc. It can transport you to far away dimensions. It can also be used as a weapon itself if necessary. Though I don't know if I would just classify it as Krang's weapon.

On the subject of just Krang's weaponry. Easily it is his Android Body. Taking my cues strictly from the Video Games. That thing is a beast to fight. It can separate and continue fighting. It moves so fast that you need futuristic night riders to keep up with it. Its a one man army. The only problem with the suit is that anyone can use weapons, there's no finesse. Which is why I feel its not used as often as it could have been. Krang is about the performance as well as the outcome

The Technodrome of course! (The Gigantic Double-decker Mobile Fortress, lol).

After reading the cracked.com article on how flawed the Technodrome is, I almost voted for his Rock Soldiers/Stone Warriors. They were not dependent on the Technodrome and never acted goofy or broke the fourth wall unlike Krang and Shredder. Just watch "Hot Rodding Teenagers" when Traag nearly causes the city to go in chaos permanently. The Technodrome unfortunately lacked its energy for moving most of the time. But despite that, most of the wacky inventions that the villains used were created in the Technodrome, and there were so many opportunities that the bad guys wasted over the course of the series. But the kicker is its transport technology. Without the Transport Modules and Trans-dimensional Portal, Shredder and his mutants would never stand a chance against those repulsive reptiles!

Second time? Is "Shredder and Splintered" the first? Remember "Return of the Technodrome", he was just to pull the trigger, buht when he had used to much power to the portal, he couldn't fire the gun.

I was pretty impressed how the android body defeated Dregg in Divide and Conquer, however, I voted for the Technodrome. That thing was huge and it had all kinds of weapons.

Yeah, but the latter example was more of a plot device, allowing the momentum to shift back to the Turtles and to take advantage of the villains' distraction. Because, after all, they were surrounded by endless Foot and Rock Soldiers, so if Krang just did nothing and let his army take care of the Turtles, instead of jumping in with "I want to kill them, myself," yeah... However, he made up for that in "Turtles On Trial," as that trait or motivation carried throughout the episode.

In watching the older episodes, and someone will probably make a thread of this, amazing how many potential and otherwise legitimately earned villain victories have been lost, because the sudden need of "I must be the one to kill the Turtles" kicks in. Though, in Shredder's case, that is a key trait; it's odder with Krang, as he's usually the more dispassionate of the two.

And agreed with Icebot. The Android Body's kickass performance in Divide and Conquer almost makes up for its overall omission in Red Sky. Almost. (And it's weird that in "Turtle Trek" Krang didn't switch to it, as he finally had access to the Technodrome, but whatever. Another rant for another thread.)

But he didn't do anything himself that time. Just one of all times he asked other people to do it.

Fair enough.

It was the minimizer that shrank the Technodrome. I don't know if Krang tried to retrieve it. I know Donatello made a device to reverse its effects. If the minimizer were still active during the Big Blowout, the turtles would have faced tougher odds. Maybe it's not Krang's most powerful weapon but certainly one of his most underrated weapons.

And I love seing the Technodrome being shrunk into a toy tank, with Shredder and Krang as toy dolls inside it. :)
