Should they fix mistakes if/when they air the OT on tv again?

For example, the turtles talk in the wrong voices, why not correct those problems? They have the technology to correct colors and digitally remove things that are not supposed to be there.

edit - 87 tmnt deserves to be remastered too. One episode was a little "jumpy", probably due to old age.

They could just use the german dvd versions. From what I have heard and seen they are much better than the american dvd's.

Also, I don't think they should change the messups. I honestly don't think 95 percent of people will notice, and when I watch the show it is always fun to see them. My very favorite mistake is one where one of the turtles is hanging onto some giant creatures leg. The creature pulls him off his leg, and essentially clones the turtle lmfao. (If someone remembers what episode this is from let me know.)

Batman TAS deserves to be remastered far more than TMNT.

If they ever remaster the series (which they won't), I hope they leave all the bandana mistakes as is.

Seriously, the mistakes of the show became part of its charm. One of the episodes from Season 5 has three Leonardo's sitting in the Turtle Van. :D

While it would be neat to see them go in a "fix" stuff, there is no market for that sort of stuff. At best you could get some remastered DVDs, but even then it would only be clean up on the picture and audio, not reanimating or dubbing.

If there's no $$$ in it, there's no reason to do it for most if not all companies.

Exactly... while it'd be great to see TMNT remastered and perfected, like THIS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8WU6GKCc9A&feature=fvwrel) for example, there's no market for it. Sure, a lot of us die-hards would pick it up but even then, not everyone on the drome would want to see it happen. The most we could ever hope for is a box-set with improved visual quality... but you certainly wouldn't see any errors removed. Again, part of the charm.

How does that apply to animation mistakes in a cartoon? There's no reason to see them fix anything.

I would love all the mistakes to be fixed. Thought it is not going to happen. The picture quality will be adapted as we get better and better pictures with television related technology but that is it. When Ted Turner decided to color Gilligan's Island 32 episode 1st season he lost a lot of $ doing so. I would rather watch it all in color,but its too expensive just like fixing MWS's animation errors would be. I would be satisfied by it just being in syndication and having DVD related access to the whole series.

The best way to fix mistakes is to not make them on new shows, such as the Nick series. It's like fixing the mistakes on the original museum paintings and sculptures, which would be not only too time consuming, but risk-taking as well. The mistakes are just not "significant enough" to detract viewers from the series, unless if some "special edition DVD" was promoted to carry the mistakes, which would more involve restoring the picture quality like the Star Wars movies (and TMNT is nowhere near Star Wars level), and that has already been done by way of the German DVD's. So the answer is a firm no.

I think that the mistakes add to the charm of the OT, aside from being fun to spot. It would be a shame to see the mistakes fixed.

I think in most cases the "mistakes" make movies and shows more fun. For a second I can laugh and pretend I'm smarter than someone else as I swear I would never make the same mistakes they did. :lol:

But yeah no point in "fixing" it, most of the time it's entirely not worth the trouble and the mistakes are barely noticeable. Except for "Jaws 4: The Revenge", in which the film itself being made was the biggest mistake in a film so full of errors you'd swear it was made by a middle school class with too much free time. That, I would sanction "fixing". Otherwise, no.

Looking at old threads, I find it's very easy to tell which posts are me drunk, and which aren't. That suddenly became important to say.
