All --

Just wanted to drop a quick (but very much heartfelt) note of thanks to all of you for your outstanding support throughout the first year of IDW's TMNT series. I know I speak for everyone on the team when I say the enthusiasm and excitement you've shown towards our work is truly, truly appreciated and we are all humbled by the positive response we've gotten so far.

For our part, we'll continue to do our very best to put out quality and entertaining TMNT comics each and every month. We've got lots of surprises in store and are honored to have you along for this crazy ride.

So, thanks! You guys are awesome!

Oh... and speaking of what's coming, here's a sneak peek at issue #13. What? You thought the Foot Clan was down for the count? No way! :tgrin:

Talk soon!

Tom W.

Is that really Andy Kuhn's art?

Wow I thought it was Dan Duncan if I didn't know better. He really did imitate his style.

I thought the same thing. It looks great! I think the coloring is a big factor too. Excited to see what Kuhn brings to the table in the next issue!

You're Thanking us????

We should be the ones thanking you and the entire IDW staff on this Turtles Book, and just not because you are bringing us all new stories featuring our favorite mutant teens. Not only do you guys show huge respect for all of the source material, but its great to feel like you are right there amongst us. Seeing what we have to say, providing us with scraps of information for us to debate over, reassuring us when we are disappointed. Its a real treat to know that you are here and fully aware of the affect that your book is having on the fans.

Proof enough of that is that you are humble enough to thank and acknowledge the fans in an open forum. Not just in the pages of the book but to come here to our territory where we pick over and analyze every little bit of your work. Its a respect for your audience that you don't get a lot of in other realms of media.

The internet truly is bringing us all a lot closer together and its refreshing when creators take advantage of the new world order. In closing thank you for all that you have done and keep up the great work!

Agreed. The simple fact that you come to this board and post so frequently is awesome as a fan. (Also, when the cover for the raph recolor got printed, and we saw it was colored wrong, and I emailed and you all fixed it made me feel awesome. :tcool:)

Things like the above story make us want to keep giving you our money. So keep it up!

I could not tell a difference either! I hope Andy makes it his own while keeping the set look.

Just wanted to throw this out here but is that the Earth Protection Agency with Agent John Bishop? Hope so! He was one of two or so characters that I really liked that came out of the 2003 cartoon.

Tom if it's not too much trouble, could you post a panel of what the Turtles look like in this issue? Shredder and Karai look very similar to Duncan's style and I am wondering how his Turtles look like now compared to the micro.

I don't agree that it looks like duncans style...I like this little tidbit much more visually...I put my sentiment about the first completed idw year on the idw board yesterday(coolray85 is my name there) so don't want to repeat myself here...
just incredible that we are all here together one year later, one year richer and happy as a clam that we are continuing to going strong!!
goongala!!/booyakasha respectivelly...;)

wait-there is the foot symbol of the 2k3 series all of a sudden?any hints what that is alll about, big man?;)

When Mirage sold TMNT to Viacom, one of my biggest worries was not seeing any more TMNT comics. When I heard that there were indeed comics on the way from you guys, I was very happy.
I plan on sticking to the book as long as you guys keep printing them, and I sincerely enjoy your collected edition hardcovers for the old Mirage books.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for more of the Archie reprints in an actual trade paperback form, and maybe even sometime in the future a "Forever War" finish to that series, and look forward to seeing new content from you guys! Keep up the good work and thank you!

No sir, thank you!

We couldn't have asked for a better team to bring the TMNT back to comics glory. It's been a fantastic first year and I look forward to many more years to come.

Thanks for coming on the boards and showing us you care, Tom. Oh, and thanks for printing my letter in issue #2. It felt good to read my Donnie-love in print, and read your informative response on IDW's take on his character.

You really have delivered on your promises concerning Donatello. You've definitely made him your own, and although I was reluctant at first to the thought of a more aggressive Don, I have grown to really appreciate what you're doing there and I can't wait to see how you dive deeper into Donnie's character.

I have to say I am glad we actually had a successful reboot of the TMNT comics.

The Mirage universe ran 25 years, and even though it technically hasn't ended yet, it was time for a, "fresh start." Could the IDW TMNT universe last 25 years? Most likely not, but it can still be just as memorable in half the time. ;)
