View Full Version : Where to buy 1987 Series Turtle DVDs in Canada?

I've been looking everywhere. I'm looking for seasons 2-7ish, as those are my favorites. My ideal would be 3, but I'll take what I can get. I'm going on a 12 hour roadtrip Wednesday, I think I'm going to need more turtles than just my copy of the first movie. :trolleye:

So, any fellow Canadians know where to find these DVDs? I'm not out on the back roads so I should have most stores. Online shopping is a no-go for me, I can't get them shipped by Tuesday. Any help would be mondo-appreciated!

Ps. If any Americans know stores that sell these, let me know. I'm going to the states for shopping on this trip, and I wouldn't mind having them for just the way back if I can't find them at home. :kgrin:

Oh, and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section! I put it in General just to be safe.

That's the right section for this TMNT series. Sorry I can't give any advice as online-shopping is the only shopping I do for non-groceries. :ohwell:

I recall purchasing some from Chapters (http://www.chapters.ca). Their prices are much better online than in-store. Keep in mind, I purchased mine when they were on sale. I have no idea what the prices are now, or even if they still carry them.

*edit* I just checked and they seem to carry most, if not all of them... not the best prices I've seen but it's a start. But since you need them by Tuesday and this would be an online method, it's not going to help.

FutureShop/BestBuy did carry quite a few seasons in-store up, until this year... but it all depends on your location and whether it's in stock. I believe I purchased Seasons 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 from FutureShop. All FutureShop appears to carry now (according to their website) is Season 5 & 8 and a few parts of 7.

It sucks but online ordering has always been the easiest method to purchase the OT.

I wish you luck!

Oh, Chapters! I have one very close to me, I'll see if I can head out today and look! We also have an Indigo in our mall which may get some stock. My Future Shop didn't seem to have any, I'll have to check if we have any Best Buy's nearby.

Thank you very much!! :tgrin:

I was going to mention Indigo/Chapters, or maybe another CD/DVD like HMV(although most are closed). Here in Ottawa we have CD warehouse, they have a fair amount of DVDs for sale and take in trades.
The other suggestion, even though it is online, thecnl.com. They are based out of BC and it's really fast shipping. Not sure if it would be able to get ther by Tuesday, but may be worth looking into.

I'm checking that site out right now. :) If I can't get them in time for this trip, I'll def. pick some up online.

heyy,

not sure if this is too late, but if you're really having trouble, i'd say check out your local HMV. I'm sure they'll carry quite a bit of the series if not all. The only thing is the pricing is a little bit more expensive than most places, but they do have the selection. (maybe check their website and see what they have in stock in your area)

Ideally, I've been getting mine from Amazon.ca ... because of free shipping, and its easier to get everything.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Alright, mall tomorrow! Then if Indigo and HMV are turtle-less, Chapters on Tuesday! Thank you SO much everyone. Being a new fan, I have no idea where to go when it comes to merch. haha
