Hey everyone, was just wondering what everyone's opinion of these are. I'm not super fond of not being able to read a book, but I did pick up books 7-11 of the original series yesterday (hopefully I get them in my grubby paws next week) and I was curious how many people on here had graded books. I think they are cool to display in a way that raws don't, but at the same time I would never only have just a book graded. I need something to read! Also, if you don't feel like discussing your opinion but you have a book to show off, throw a picture down! I'd love to see it :tgrin:

It's a niche, for sure. I'm interested around 0-1% in CGC graded books. Maaaaaybe if I had a nice #1 issue, and I wanted to display it. Because they DO look very nice displayed. But the only reasons I could see someone getting something graded is:
1.) Wanting to sell it for more if it gets graded high.
2.) Wanting to keep a great condition comic in that condition because they may sell later on.
3.) Just love the way it looks displayed
I mean, it's just like getting football cards graded. I would never get my Elway collection graded, because one, it costs too much, and two, they are in those clunky cases.
To each his own, but it's not for me.
And if you wanted the issue to read, you know you can own more than one issue at a time, right?

Lmfao yah I do have more than one issue if 7-11
I'm just saying I don't think I would ever just have a cgc'ed version of a book without having a raw copy. The only books I really want right now are 1-11 and maybe 19-21.
