View Full Version : Do you think the Nick show will go through a major revamp in its final seasons?

There seems to be a running theme in TMNT cartoons, the last few seasons are always revamped in an attempt to boost ratings when the show is finally starting to end.
The OT did it with the Red Sky seasons for Seasons 8-10, and the 4kids series did it with Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers for the last two seasons.
Going by this, I wonder what will happen to the Nick show in its last two seasons...some sort of radical revamp? Maybe the show dropping its humor and becoming all serious, sort of like what the Red Sky seasons did? Maybe switching to 2D animation? Its quite interesting to think about.

The Show hasn't even started yet - how could you ask such a question?

I hope that isn't the case. Though I like most everything that came about to bring a freshness to the series', I'm sick of those changes being made. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'd like to think not, but based on what we've been given so far, it's not out of the question. It really depends on how popular it is and how long that popularity lasts. Being CGI, it should be simple enough to maintain the show's style, but then again, CG being CG, it shouldn't be too hard to mess with it and change the whole thing up, either.

The Show Hasn't Even Started Yet.....Why Think About The End Of it?

I doubt Ciro Nieli would allow that to happen with this show. He seems to understand the TMNT mythos, and wants to head the series in the right direction.

Unless he'd consider it a Red Sky tribute of some sort.
At any rate, it's doubtful that anyone on the creative team would even entertain the thought at this point.

Oh man, I truly hope not. The revamps in the past have been downright aweful!

How were they awful? Those seasons are quite entertaining and wrapped up the show nicely.

Seeing as how the show hasn't even aired yet, I can't really say. I agree with Zany, the revamps weren't that good. I hated how in the last two seasons of 2k3 the show wasn't as dark as before and they changed the animation.

Other than the actual animation change and Mike becoming more annoying, the better episodes of FF an BTTS are just as good as previous seasons.

Not really talking specifically about FF or BTTS but I hate that mentality.
It may not be broke but it could be stale and worn down.

How the hell should I know? Let's just wait until the show premieres and go from there? Why make all these pointless and stupid assumptions before it even airs?

Another day, another off-beat topic from CyberCubed.
But, if you really want my answer, it's that the show be completely different in terms of character development.

I don't think Nick has ever changed a show in the past, I don't see why they would start now.
I am as ready as the next person for the new show to begin, but seriously why does there even have to be a final season?

While Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers might not have been as good as the previous seasons, they where still very enjoyable.

Remember All Grown Up? A complete revamp of Rugrats. However, that was after about 10 seasons of Rugrats. Since we would really need at least four seasons before such a shift could occur based upon past TMNT series and Nickelodeon's strategy, I wouldn't worry about this until we're at least three seasons into the show, if it even lasts that long. Because of the uncertainty in terms of how long this show will last, I will say no.
