Now that we have been granted season 10 on DVD, I think it would be awesome if we could finally get a really nice complete series set. It'd be really nice if it would include all content from the individual volumes and seasons on DVD as well as some extras such as the Turtle Tips and being able to view the commercial bumpers.
If and when the complete series is released, I don't think there's any better way to release it than to have a special DVD case shaped like the Turtle Van that holds all the seasons. A similar idea was done with the complete series of Scooby-Doo Where Are You! and the complete series of the A-Team. Below is some links showcasing these sets. If this idea was done with the Turtles, I'd buy the complete series in a heartbeat.

Unless the episodes were digitally remastered, I probably wouldn't double dip.

I'd rebuy if it came out on blu-ray
And also, I'd take a Technodrome please instead of the van

what's so special about Turtles tips?
from the looks of them it's just the ninja turtles versions of Sonic sez, nothing really all that special

I'm with you. I would buy it if it get released on blu-ray. The technodrome would be cool, but I think the van is a better choice.

The quality wouldn't improve that much with Blu-Ray, but it allows for more episodes per disc and. Still, since we can fit 13 episodes on the Season 2 disc, and given there were 5 discs on the Season 4 set, we could conceivably fit 3 sets of 5 discs inside a Turtle Van, along with an extras disc containing all of the Playmates toy commercials (Playmates were affiliated with series at the beginning), Turtle Tip shorts, extras found in the currently released DVDs, and special interviews with more people that haven't been featured yet (Fred Wolf, David Wise, Francis Moss, Michael Reaves, Kevin Eastman, Mark Freedman, Susan Blu (appropriate enough if it gets onto Blu-Ray), Renae Jacobs, Jennifer Darling, and Peter Renaday.) I agree that a Turtle Van would be better than the Technodrome, since it is roughly rectangular in shape, plus it says "TURTLES" on the bumper and customers would clearly know that its for the Ninja Turtles. The bottom of the Turtle Van would be good for placing the details, and the sides would showcase the complete series with the Turtles next to the van or inside it, visible from the windows.
I feel around a $75-$100 price tag seems reasonable, since complete sets on eBay seem to sell in the $100-$150 range and that would still be around 50 cents per episode or a little less, which is a pretty good price. However, I'd wait at least a couple years before releasing such a set since we need to see if Nickelodeon can bring back the old audience and entice some younger fans into the old series. There are plenty of used (and some new) copies that will satisfy some fans for the time being.
It'd need to be remastered and include Turtle Tips if they wanted me to rebuy the series.

Only if it got the same treatment as Time Life's DVD boxsets.

I would love to buy one big boxset of the OT series. It'd be nice if all the eps are there and in order, along with interviews with the voice cast and everyone who was involved, maybe extra regarding dropped scripts or potential ideas that they had planned on using and decided not to, etc. I'm not big on the Blu-ray stuff and am okay with just plain old DVD stuff. I'd like to own something like that as opposed to having to buy each volume separately.

Because they were an intergral part of Turtles history, and my collection won't be complete without them!
This is more-so a crack at how insistant CyberCubed was about the Turtle Tips being on the Season 10 release. I don't really care about them that much.

D*mn, why didn't we asked for those years ago. I totally forgot about the TMNT PSA shorts that aired on CBS. Heck yeah, I want those included :P
edit - I guess the only thing you can do for now is download the TMNT PSA videos from youtube and burn them all on a blank dvd. The audio and quality is not all that good though.
"The quality wouldn't improve that much with Blu-Ray"
I'd have to disagree on that, after seeing how dramatic the difference in quality is on the German DVD's. But even the German version has ever-so-slight artifacts and compression, and Blu Ray has a higher color pallet than DVD, so there could definitely be something gained by getting a Blu Ray version. The North American DVD's really don't do the show justice.
I kind of think a Blu Ray-- if it happened-- would be released in Germany first before Lionsgate ever bothered to make one for the North American market, given the track record.

Yes and No.
The DVDs we have today are copies of the original program that was displayed at an NTSC resolution of 720x486 pixels. If you are to put that on a BluRay, which can do a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, you need to fill in the missing data. Plus don't forget that NTSC is an interlaced signal(30 frames a second), where 1080p is progressive(60 frames a second)
Most BluRay players can already do this, by upconverting. It will fill in the missing information from other pixels or frames.
So if they just slap the data we have now to a BluRay, You will be paying more for what you already have. You see this a lot with older movies.
This is where remastering would come into play. Star Trek the Next Generation did this for Season one, and it looks great.
But you would have to pay even more for that process as well.
Anyways, I would love to have a complete Box set in a Turtle Van. That would look sweet!

nah i don't think the Van is a better choice at all. sure the discs will go in nicely, but i seme to recall another DVD/Blu-Ray that was in a rounder shaped case, i think it was the "big lebowski" and it was in a bowling ball so it can work

I vote Turtle Van. You could have the seasons in typical cases, maybe 10 1 for each season, and they could be in a larger, Turtle Van shaped box, for those who wanna display it in such....I dunna...I'm not a DVD box set designer.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really think Lionsgate deserves anymore of my money. They've put out shoddy product after shoddy product. I wouldn't trust them to do anything fantastic with a "Complete Series" enticement, and even if they did, I'd just be bitter they fed their loyal customers sub-par releases for nearly a decade.

If I could trade in my old releases and get the new Complete Series, I'd be game... :P

A turtle van would be cool but I doubt it would be worth it. I wonder now that Lions gate is done with tmnt 87 ,if FW will sell off the show to Nickelodeon or re release the show if the nick turtles are a hit.

I'd like to see Lionsgate sell the show to Nick, if only because we could see 3 TMNT cartoons aired back to back on the same channel.

I'd be happy just to see a proper DVD box set like the Power Rangers. Put some extras on it and have all the episodes in order.

A Technodrome case could work like that bowling ball example if they use a spindle design to hold the discs instead of individual slots. It would probably work best with Blu-Ray since would have about a quarter of the discs compared to a complete DVD set. Maybe they could make a Turtles Van for the DVD set, and a Technodrome for the Blu-Ray set.
I love this idea
