Hallo! Have some dried squid jerky too! It's good!

Closet Mango Lover?
How could I be so?! I don't even know how to eat the thing! Asides, I got it for my turtle. to see if she'll like it (since Azure does) It'll be food to sustain her while I'm gone to Korea for two weeks.

But I'll have pics when we get back. Since I won't have any school stuff to do, updating my web site with those would be easy!

Hi! Welcome back, Mikey! Um...ya! I see you already received your mango of welcome, so I'll give you this instead.
*gives Mikey a chocolate covered strawberry*
It's good
*sees HT's dried squid jerky*
OH! I love that stuff! Chewy, yet tasty. Uh...are you gonna eat all of that? Btw, I'm sure Padugi will love the mango. It's a treat for us turtles to eat something so exotic  And yes! You must share your Korea pics with us! I don't think I'll ever be able to travel to that side of the world. It'll be cool to see the sights through the camera. Yes. So what was I talking about again?
HorseTechie
04-22-2002, 07:47 PM
Oh sure, have some squid *gives Azure ah handful of the shredded stuff* I'll get more of this in Korea, fer sure!
azure turtle

Ooh, thankee kindly, HT!
*happily munches on the squid jerky*
soory about the loud wav machias ;P I'll try to fix that when I reupload... gah, differnt computers, differnt sound arcitectures... YO MIKEY! I've never had a Mango, but I like Pomagranties!

You may find it ridiculous but in Russian language we use one and the same word for "mushrooms" and "mould" (well, why not? They refer to one and the same biological category). So "mouldy pizza" and "pizza with mushrooms" sound equally.
azure turtle
05-12-2002, 11:27 AM
LOL! Woah, that's kinda weird. :anime:
Deskjet Shredder
05-12-2002, 12:08 PM
Well, if the Turtles ate chocolate pizza (according to Russian dub) why can't they eat mouldy... I mean, mushroom pizza?
azure turtle
05-12-2002, 12:45 PM
Heh heh heh...I think chocolate pizza would be a lot more tasty then mouldy...er, mushroom pizza!

I'm new, too! hello, everybody.
Kameko
05-16-2002, 11:36 AM
Hey...there's NOTHING wrong with putting chocolate on your pizza!
Tinselcat
05-16-2002, 11:37 AM
uuuuummmmm... is it my imagination, or is there a plethora of fruit fixations in this place? er, tell me if i'm completely out of wack. (oh yeah, and i like kiwis, too!)

05-16-2002, 11:38 AM
We do like mangos around here...possibly more than is healthy... Ever try a banana with mustard on it?
tekcop
05-16-2002, 11:41 AM
hey, chocolate pizza's good. *notices the stares* uh... not regular pizza, it just pizza dough, vannila and chocolate pudding, and its topped with brown sugar.
Hiya, Tinselcat, welcome!
Loolaa
05-16-2002, 12:03 PM
Yeah, hello Tinselcat, and welcome!!
azure turtle
05-16-2002, 12:14 PM
Hiya Tinselcat! I already gave you a grand welcome in another thread. And yes, fruit is a good thing. Mangoes are the best! But I like kiwis, too. Hey, didja know that a kiwi is also a type of wingless bird? That's your trivia for today.
Banana and mustard?! Ewww...
Banana and mustard?! Ewww...
I second that! Although Banana and peanut butter's pretty good.
azure turtle
05-16-2002, 12:18 PM
Peanut butter! I love peanut butter...it tastes good on almost anything! Well, except for the whole "ants on a log" deal. I hate celery. :thumbsdo:
Loolaa
05-16-2002, 12:29 PM
Heheh.. pulls out sick of celery from her pocket and waggles it under Azure's nose...
..ants on a log...?
HorseTechie
05-16-2002, 12:47 PM
:ohwell:
*will stick with the peanutbutter* Or putting salt on watermelon! But PB and chocolate syrup on a pepperoni and pineapple pizza is really good! I tried that a couple times. :goof:
BTW, Welcome Tinselcat! Don't let these fruity types get to ya.
Loolaa
05-16-2002, 12:52 PM
*sai* ... and here am I being so conservative at meal times...
HorseTechie
05-16-2002, 12:57 PM
 After all that I ate over the past two weeks... nothing scares my stomach anymore.
Well, except if I was asked to eat live worms, grumbs, and bugs like they do on Fear Factor.
azure turtle
05-16-2002, 01:20 PM
Ahhh!
*runs away from Loolaa's celery*
I do not like celery! Blah...just thinking about it makes my skin crawl.
*blinks*
Chocolate syrup and peanut butter on pineapple pizza?! Sweet mother of pearl! I don't know if I can handle that...As for the live bugs, I wouldn't eat them at all. Not unless it was an extreme emergency, like being stranded in the rain forests. Hopefully, that won't be happening any time soon
HorseTechie
05-16-2002, 01:24 PM
Yeah... Hakuna Matata, my foot!
*suddenly looks strangely at Azure*
But you're a turtle! You should be able to stomach worms and bugs. I mean, you know, it was what you were eating before you and the other Turtles got mutated!

05-16-2002, 02:03 PM
hrmm... so there's no chance of getting you to eat a chocolate covered ant, Azure?
I will admit I think I ate a couple of ants that got in my donut last week... my Korean in-laws had a little ant investation. Not that I wanted to eat one, it was until after I bit into the donut did I notice the little itty bitty things!

Eww, I'd rather not eat ants, even if they're covered in chocolate. Yuck. :ohwell:
Loolaa
05-16-2002, 02:22 PM
If I closed my eyes and didn't know what I was eating, then it might be okay...
Worse than an ant, though.. I have a friend who ate a snail, shell and all when she was about two years old!! yuk
azure turtle
05-16-2002, 02:28 PM
EWW! Now that's disgusting! Talk about escargot sashimi...ugh!
Tinselcat
05-17-2002, 09:54 AM
actually, i heard that bugs are really very nutritious. you can buy lollipops with crickets in them, or shakes with worms at the bottom (i've never had the nerve to try them myself, but i hear that they're good for you). I could see myself chowing down on chocolate covered ants.
HorseTechie
05-17-2002, 10:44 AM
Mmm.. yeah... ants at least have the good taste to eat things that are sweet. Not like baby flies or and worms that eat dirt and manure.

What about the wee wormie in a bottle of Tequila?
HorseTechie
05-30-2002, 10:52 AM
 I don't think I even drank Tequila yet.
But... if there's one thing in the Korean 'cuisine' I will not eat, are these silkworm larvae things marinated and cooked in soysauce.
*still contemplating writing a Fear Factor style fic where the guys have to eat worms as part of Splinters survival training*
azure turtle
05-30-2002, 11:33 AM

Nope....no bugs for me, unless I'm starving and I've got no other choice. Bleah...I'm still thinking about that escargot sashimi!
Loolaa
05-30-2002, 11:35 AM
Silk worm larvae??!! Yuck!
I bet they're expensive though...
Machias Banshee
05-30-2002, 01:43 PM
could be worse, they could have to eat buffalo testicles or something...
HorseTechie
05-30-2002, 06:35 PM
 Personally, I rather eat 'balls'over worms!
But no... the silk worm larvae inna can is not expensive. I saw it sold at a concession stand, along with the sashimi escargo! (Or something that waas in little pointy shells that was the size of snails)
*admits she does well detaching her mind from her stomach when talking about this*

Azure believe me, I have you beat in the spoiled catigory. I once almost got sick eating sushi!
azure turtle
05-30-2002, 11:36 PM
Hey now, I like sushi! That's something I don't mind eating at all. When I had my first taste of it, though, I did feel kinda disgusted about eating raw fish. Then I realized how tasty it was! Now I eat it whenever I get the chance to go to a good sushi place. :anime:
Samantha
05-30-2002, 11:47 PM
*shrugs* Well, to each his or her own. I've always been one of those picky eaters. While my aunt may venture into the unknown relms of green ice cream and odder flavors, I stick with vanella (it is NOT boring). Although tomatoes are one of my favorite foods and some can't understand that...
azure turtle
05-30-2002, 11:54 PM
Green ice cream? Y'mean green tea ice cream? Oy, I love that stuff too! It's a tasty treat.
Samantha
05-31-2002, 12:02 AM
I'm not sure if it was tea ice cream, but personally I'm not sure I'd eat anything green (except broccili, pickles, cucumbers, green pepper and celery). I have a really queasy stomach. When I go to amusment parks I don't even eat breakfast....
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 12:08 AM
Too bad...I like green tea ice cream. And I always wait at least an hour after eating before riding any roller coasters.
Samantha
05-31-2002, 12:10 AM
So, what's the most severe rollor coaster you've ever been on?
Loolaa
05-31-2002, 12:10 AM
Green tea ice cream? I've never heard of it!! Sounds yummy!
Ice cream... now that's better than bugs...
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 12:16 AM
Oy, ice cream is a hundred times better than bugs! You should definitely try green tea ice cream if you can, Loolaa. It's really good!
*thinks for a moment*
Lemme see now...most severe roller coaster...probably Desperado at Buffalo Bill's Casino, which is on the stateline between Nevada and California. Before Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Desperado held the record of having the highest and steepest drop in the US. Man, that first drop is crazy...I don't think I can ride Goliath.
Loolaa
05-31-2002, 12:17 AM
*whimpers* I'm scared of Rollercoasters :sweatdro:
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 12:21 AM
*pats Loolaa on the back*
Aww, don't worry, dudette! I used to be afraid of them too, until a couple of my friends dragged me onto Ninja at Magic Mountain. Of course, I never forgave them for that, but I was happy that they got rid of my fear of roller coasters! Well, most roller coasters, anyway... :embarass:
Loolaa
05-31-2002, 12:25 AM
Oh... I went on one a few years ago. I could feel the blood drain from my face. My knuckles were white from clinging on... and I was doing my best not to puke on the head of the man in front...
I don't think my fear can be cured!
Samantha
05-31-2002, 12:25 AM
I'm a complete scardy cat. Sadly my friends are having a birthday party at an amusment park next week and I think they're *gasp* going to want me to go on something other than the kiddie rides!! Seriously the most severe rollar coaster I've been on (which wasn't even really a rollar coaster) would be the Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror at Disney World. You desend 13 stories again and again and again (I asked one of the workers if anyone had ever died on the ride at the last minute). Other than that it would have to be "The Chiller" at Six Flags.
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 12:28 AM
Aww...I'm sorry to hear that, Loolaa. Were you screaming? It always helps to scream when you're riding roller coasters. It alleviates some of the stress and pressure that you're feeling.
*turns to Samantha*
Maybe you can get a tame rollercoaster before riding anything too extreme. Then you can find out if you can handle the bigger coasters.
Loolaa
05-31-2002, 12:30 AM
No.. I don't scream... I just mutter "Iwannagetoff,Iwannagetoff.." Repeatedly under my breath!
Would screaming help?! I'm not really a screamy person...
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 12:34 AM
LOL! Trust me, Loolaa, screaming helps a lot! Even if you're not the screamy type, it really helps ease that weird feeling you get in your stomach. I got sick on a rollercoaster once because I didn't scream, and it hasn't happened since (because I always end up screaming).
Samantha
05-31-2002, 12:36 AM
I do that too. I always murmor "I want to get off now, I want to get off". Plus I close my eyes. Yet I have never puked, and I have always been perfectly fine on the Ferris Wheel (well that's SOMEthing!)
Loolaa, I also usually scream, so I'm not sure if it would help. "Space Mountain" is a pretty tame rollar coaster in my opinion, so if you're ever in Florida maybe you could try that. But of course I'm not really the right person to give advice. Azure?
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 12:43 AM
 I stand next to the idea that screaming helps when riding rollercoasters. Hey, they have Space Mountian at Disney World?! That's so cool! We have it here at Disney Land, too! I like that ride. It's fun!
Loolaa
05-31-2002, 12:43 AM
Oh, I can't close my eyes.. I have to leave them open, other wise I really would be sick!
*makes a mental note to scream next time she is bullied onto a rollercoaster*
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 12:47 AM
Closing your eyes sometimes makes it worse...I leave my eyes open because I like to watch the scenery whiz by while I go upside down and stuff.
Loolaa
05-31-2002, 12:49 AM
I haven't been on too many roller coasters, I don't get the chance very often. But for my high school physics class (both years) we got to take a field trip to Great America, and ride the roller coasters as our assignment. I totally love Top Gun, Stealth, Drop Zone (but that's not really a roller coaster, now is it?) Hmmm...
Unfortunately I have to take my glasses off before riding any coaster so I won't lose them. And I can't even see my computer screen without them. It's still a cool feeling. I'm not really a screamer, but screaming does help a little. I always feel better when I'm screaming.
HorseTechie
05-31-2002, 09:06 AM
 I am usually 'dragged' to the coaster parks in Ohio by Lisardo, since I met her. *dusks her bap if she reads this* This year it's gonna be Kings Island (we did Magic Mountain last year).
I don't mind them, I think they're cool.. but I'm certainly not a roller coaster enthusiast. Especially when the rabid roller coaster nuts try to pick me up and carry me in line of the one I 'm scared of the most.
But I'm weird, I don't get nautious from them. No... I fear I will have a heart attack instead! It's the really tall coasters, or the 'falling' rides I avoid like the plague. I discovered this fear after riding the Magnum, a damn high coaster that has two hills (It compares to the Goliath). But that's not enough for Cedar Point. They had to erect the Millienium Force in 2000! *shudder* I fear this thing.. I refuse to ride this, even if someone paid me a million dollars! :sweatdro:
http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/millennium/index.cfm
But the ones that are suspended, twist and twist and/or go upside down are my favorites, along with the classic woddies like the Beast and the Colusium(sp).
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 05:07 PM
Holy moly! You mean that the Millenium beat Goliath's record for tallest and steepest drop? Man!! There's no way I'd get on that thing...I'm a coaster enthusiast, but I know my limits. Hey Kali, I've got the same problem...I always end up pocketing my glasses because I fear losing them. One time, I completely forgot while riding Drachen Fire (sp?) at Busch Gardens at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. I had my hand in front of my face the whole time.
Hey, ever been on one of those Sky Flier rides? The ones where they strap you into a harness, use a crane to lift you up a few hundred feet, then drop you? Free fall is so cool. You feel like a pendulum after a while.
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 05:13 PM
*cringes*
I'm scared of free falling rides. I dunno why, but I just can't get on any rides like that.
enigma-1
05-31-2002, 06:23 PM
Azure, why do you think I avoid those rides like the plague? If anyone wants to get me on one, they had to tie me up and gag me.
azure turtle
05-31-2002, 06:39 PM
Heh heh...I avoid those rides because I'm scared of heights. I can ride rollercoasters because I'm usually sitting in the middle, so I can't really see anything. But free fall rides are a whole different story...
*shudders*
*shrugs* To each their own. I personally love the adrenaline rush, and can't get enough of it.
enigma-1
05-31-2002, 06:40 PM
Free fall or roller coaster, I avoid both. My heights' fear is too bad for that. I mean, I freak out when I go over high bridges unless my eyes are closed.
Samantha
05-31-2002, 11:29 PM
Fear of heights I totally get (Why do you think I keep my eyed closed when I go on rollor coasters?)
I hope I don't get nausious at my friends birthday party (at an amusment park). I just got car sick today.

Heh... it's the FALLING bit that'll keep me from doing that too. Or go bungee jumping, or ride the "falling elevator".
But.. didn't you say once that you jumped from a plane, Azure? What was that like? Do you feel like you're falling (like on a roller coaster) or what?

I what?! LOL! No way, HT! I think you've confused me with someone else. I've never jumped out of an airplane, and I don't plan on doing so any time soon. I get nervous just sitting in a plane...and that's when it hasn't started moving yet! :goofygri:
enigma-1
06-03-2002, 08:45 PM
Note to self: Avoid all aircraft.
I'M the one who loves free falling! I went on one of those huge crane swing rides, and Great America's Drop Zone, of course. Never jumped from a plane or bungee jumped, but those are things I do want to do someday! What can I say, I love the adrenaline rush.

I can keep my lunch fine... it's my nerves that get all riled up when the G forces get too much. Ish... my poor heart! It's like I get agonizing pins and needles all over, that no amount of screaming and clawing will relieve.
But I love being high up, like in trees or on tall buildings. And flying is really cool too. Hubby and I were fighting over who got the window seat on our trip.

Heh heh...I used to be so terrified of flying. During my first plane ride (I was like 10 at the time) I ended up screaming during take off. My mom did her best to keep me quiet, but I ended up screaming anyway. Of course, nowadays I don't scream. I just close my eyes and whimper :goof:

HorseTechie
06-04-2002, 02:59 PM
Hee... I never was afraid of flying, even after last fall. I that's a good thing, since Korea and Japan are like a 14 hour flight. Nah... what I hate then is after I get the window seat, the other two people (most often those I don't know) fall asleep. And then I have to go the bathroom! Erhm...
