I realized there some adult jokes in old cartoons like Animaniacs and Rocko's modern life. But I noticed that TMNT had some too.
Like on "Donatello's Degree" when Donny invited Irma to receive his degree he earned at Sopho U., he told her to wait and get picked up. Irma straight up said, "I'm not that kind of girl!" I lol'd at that.
In "the great boldini", Mikey after witnessing the police investigating the art museum bluntly said "they'll find something green but it won't be the the emerald..."
During that same scen when asked if they will have a strip search Raph replied, "i hope not. It's a family show!"

By they'll find something green he meant them, the turtles.
None of that is in the slightest bit risque.

Don't we already have a thread for this, and all those things listed in that thread wasn't exactly risqué or raunchy either
In "the great boldini", Mikey after witnessing the police investigating the art museum bluntly said "they'll find something green but it won't be the the emerald..."
How could that been taken as adult humor? :tconfuse:

Maybe I took it out of context. As I stated before I do have a dirty mind.
I'm sorry.
Only thing I ever thought was adult was in the craptastic syndicated season 4 ep with the enlarging ray.
Scientist: "Jokko! Bad monkey!"
Donatello: "You're not going to spank him, are you?"
gobo: "*GROAN* :trolleye:"

When Irma discovers Baby Tribble in April's bad during a newsreport:
"April, is there something you're not telling me?"
I just can't interpret that line in any way but one.

How about in "Enter the Rat King" when Irma commented on Vernon's behavior making her glad to be a member of the opposite sex?

The writers really did Irma some funny lines to say (granted, I don't think any were truly risque), and Jennifer Darling really put a lot of energy into her "supporting character once removed" role.
Shredder "getting an X-rated lecture from Krang" was a family-friendly joke, I assure you.

the line that always stands out was when Donatello was like 'Irma, I need you' and Irma let out a slight moan, to which Don said 'relax Irma, it's just to help my pick up a pizza'. Cue Irma's disappointed face and the OT's version of the wah wah music.

I'd have to agree that everything posted here is pretty tame--and I'm someone that has an unimaginably filthy mind.

There were a few implied grownup/adult jokes that DID skip past our childhood radar. As one poster mentioned, Irma's remark in "Donatello's Degree" but I also found others.
1. In “Plan Six From Outer Space”: There’s a lack of pepperoni and Michelangelo complains of not being able to buy any because the stores don't have them. Raphael jokes, “Who knew there would be such a sausage shortage!” then thinks it over, breaks the 4th wall, “…And don’t ask me to repeat that!”
2. In “Menace Maestro, Please”: Leonardo and TMNT attacks Bebop and Rocksteady, and after stopping them with costume boxes falling on their heads, Leonardo says, “So that’s what those two have in common.” Bebop and Rocksteady are both wearing either half of a donkey costume on their heads.
3. In “Leonardo the Renaissance Turtle”: LEX stops and arrests Leonardo and April for jaywalking and when the robot says if they have any last words. April comments, “I can think of a few, but they’re not appropriate for television.”
