Hey turtle fans, I'm feeling curious enough to pimp out my fanfic and fanart here. I'll post the direct links to my FF.net account and DA account here and continue to update this thread with any new works. Would love to hear your thoughts, either here or on my accounts :)

Up first, my very first completed fanfiction:

Title: Donatello's Spot
Summary: At the ripe age of seventeen, Donatello understands his place in the world. Years with only one another for comfort and company have created a tight and orchestrated balance within the Hamato clan. When his brothers test these assumptions, however, Don is presented with a lingering confusion over his own identity.

I've put more work into this thing that it borders on ridiculous, so I admit I'm rather pleased, if not slightly apprehensive, about it. Hopefully in the near future I can plug my other, longer fic, though I'd like to dust that off and get it more off the ground before doing so. As for DS, I already have the rest of the story written, it just needs to be edited and cleaned up a bit more before I post it.

I'd prefer any comments, suggestions, questions, and whatnot left on fanfiction.net as I frequent that site a lot more and it makes it easier for me to keep everything all together in one spot, but of course I won't slight you if it's left here either :twink:

Thank you both very much. It's been quite some time since I've put my writing out for the public so your feedback is very appreciated!

And although there are some seriously talented artists on this site, I figure it can't hurt to toss in my own recent little piece of fanart. It's nothing special and should be quite obvious I've never drawn anything quite like the Turtles before, but I'm glad to finally have it up and it feels nice breaking that barrier into the realm of TMNT fanart, and hopefully I'll be able to refine my style on them a bit more.

I love your fan-art, nice unique blend of a standard Turtle pose with a chibi-esque look that makes them look too cute for words. Don't get worried if you're "new" to this, TMNT is very flexable to new interpretations, and yours is definatly welcome.

Thank you very much! I'm excited as my beta says she should have my edits for Donatello's Spot ready in the next day or so, and I've recently fleshed out a ton on the outline for Reasonable Doubt.

I also really appreciate the positive comments on my fanart :) My beta agrees with me in that my style is very obvious "girly", though she says it isn't a bad thing, just different from what she's used to with seeing the turtles. That wasn't really my intention for them (and here I was thinking I had done a pretty good job making things 'rougher'!), but I'm thankful they still look cute. I've got a few more sketches for them in the works (it's a lot more fun to play with their poses and whatnot now that I've got a better idea about how their anatomy works), though those may take awhile to put up as my access to a scanner is pretty limited.

Anyway, thanks again, I'm really glad to have such welcoming responses, and with the new show starting up soon it's even easier to immerse myself with new ideas. Hopefully the next time I post it will be with chapter 2 of Donnie's Spot :tsmile:

Wow, thank you very much! That and your review mean a lot to me and the work I put into this project :) As much as I enjoy writing the more action-packed aspects of the Turtles, I probably spend far too much time analyzing their family relationships and inner thought processes and am glad my own interpretations of them are so positively received.

Edit: Wow. This is extremely embarrassing. I hadn't noticed until now that I somehow managed to upload an earlier draft that was absolutely riddled with typos and misplaced words. No idea how that happened :( Just went through and revised everything, hoping it will update very soon.

I'm glad they weren't too distracting. I've replaced the entire chapter with the fixed version, so I really hope it works and FF.net won't screw me up and leave the wrong version up. I'll definitely have to be a lot more careful when posting chapter 3, I don't know why the edits won't save when I go in and fix them by hand.

As Raph and Don are my two favorite turtles, a TON of work went into this chapter (and I seriously hope I didn't screw up like I did with Mikey's chapter and posted the wrong draft, I double checked about three times), and I really hope you all like it as well. Very excited as this story is almost complete now, only one chapter left to be edited and then I can turn my full attention to my other TMNT fic, Reasonable Doubt.

Would love any reviews or thoughts :tsmile:

No problem! I'm just stoked to share this chapter as it finally features Raph with Donnie and I put probably twice as much work into it than the others. Also hope to post up some new artwork soon as well. I have quite a bit of new stuff and my style has been evolving now that I have a better clue as to how to draw mutant turtles, the process of scanning them and whatnot is just such a pain in the tookis I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Holy smokes, to think I wrote the first drafts of this story back in the middle of summer! I'm kinda sad it's all over now, but still pretty stoked to have finished my first multi-chapter fanfiction. I love all your guys' comments and reviews and I hope you enjoy the final chapter as much as I do. I may update the first chapter to include a suggested song (as this is, I suppose, technically a songfic), of The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance.

Anyway, I can't wait to upload more as I've written up to chapter 6 now in Reasonable Doubt which I hope to start editing soon to post, two other longer fics titled TAO and an Unnamed story in the works, and I have a few one-shot WIPs as well. So plenty new stuff in the turtle-verse to keep me busy that I look forward to posting soon.

This newest one I have uploaded is actually still back from September so I think my style has changed a bit more, but I think it's interesting to see how it shifts slightly from picture to picture so I guess I may as well still post them. These are awesome! Your lines are so clean and neat. I like the Mikey and Klunk one best, it's all the great detailing on the freckles and wrapping. You've nothing to be embarrassed about! :D

Thank you! :) I like the Mikey and Klunk one best too, which is ironic as I spent the least amount of time on it. But I think I'd like to get some color on it someday. I'm glad someone out there likes hem, I'm still getting used to sharing my stuff, especially any type of fanart.

Anywho, since I've been pretty displeased with the way my Turtle faces turn out I decided to practice on them a bit more, and to also give myself a better idea of the differences each one has from the other. And since I like drawing profiles best I went with profile shots and came up with this:

No one ever seems to like the way Don turned out, but of the four I love the way he looks best. Go figure :roll:

Thank you both so much! It's really hard not to feel intimidated sometimes on this forum where there are some truly talented TMNT artists, but I'm trying to use them as inspiration to just keep improving while still keeping my own flair.

This next piece I actually started drawing weeks ago and it's taken a long time until for me to be somewhat pleased with it. I drew it on one of my oversized sketchbooks so I have no way of properly scanning it, hopefully the photos are clear. I'd decided I hadn't drawn a proper group shot of the guys, one that really shows my own interpretation of them, so this really took some work (what can I say, I'm really slow at drawing).

Despite its length, this story actually took a lot of time to write and a ton of editing from my beta. I honestly don't know where I'd be without her. It's listed as Complete for now, though I am toying with the idea of writing similar scenarios with the other three turtles and posting them as a collection.

Thank you both very much :) I love drawing profiles, they're sort of my fall back when I need to loosen up an practice some more. I really like how different all four of these characters are too as it really challenged me to explore different facial features. I'm hoping to create a profile set with Splinter and Leatherhead next, but their designs are vastly different than anything I'm used to, so they may end up taking awhile.

In any case, I have one week left in my semester, so I'm really looking forward to a few extra hours during the winter break to really some put work into my fanfictions as well.

Then since I was feeling adventurous I decided to give him a little color too. It's more like a WIP I suppose, especially his eyes which I hate coloring, but I figure it was good just to get myself reacquainted with color at all since I usually leave my stuff B&W.

Very good...it's a weird pose, but once you focus on it and realize what it's trying to convey it elevates the articulation of the image.

Thank you all very much for the encouragement! Now that I've started to dabble in perspectives and coloring I hope to keep working on it more since I know this attempt had a lot of flaws. Still, it was fun to get my feet wet with it all :) I need to draw a bit more Leo too, I tend to forget the poor guy.

Some new arts stuff. First up, Raph. More of a scrap than anything from awhile ago as I was attempting to work on color and grew so frustrated with the damn thing I called it quits. May go back to it later or start over sometime. Not sure.

This is still a WIP. I messed up on it last night though and basically lost all my work. So I'm going to have to redo it all. Very frustrated. So I'm sharing what I did manage to save. This is going to be an alternate cover piece for my fanfiction Reasonable Doubt I've been working on for way too long.

Thank you guys very much! :) Recoloring Donnie has slowed me down a bit, so it'll probably be awhile till he's finished as I'm working on the actual story it belongs to in order to keep my enthusiasm up to redo the whole thing. I'm really happy to hear you guys like my stuff though!

And Bauer, indeed, it's true I do seem to ignore Leo quite a bit and need to remedy that xD I do have on piece of him on my DA account, but since it's a tribute piece I wasn't sure how I felt about showing it here. In any case, I definitely want to even the score a bit and start giving him a little more attention.

Finally got me done a Leo pic! My first time working with a 'background' as well as my first pic done fully in color, so this was a pretty big challenge for me. I know, he looks like he's attempting to model for an underwear ad or something, but I can assure you such was not my intention when I drew this out. I had hoped for something a little on the 'brooding' or 'thoughtful' side, as he reflects on his life while studying in South America. Eh, maybe not, but hey, I still kinda like it.
