I work for a CPA firm and we have four confrence rooms where we hold meetings. They were named "Main, South, North, and ???" but that got confusing. So our HR person put out a survey/contest to name the four rooms.
I never put in an entry, but I guess there was another turtle (or renaissance artist) fan in the office b/c they were named Lenardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo.
They were assigned their name as follows: Michelangelo was given to the Middle or Main confrence room. Lenardo was given to the confrence room farthest Left when you walked in the main door. Raphael went to the confrence room on the far Right as you walked in. And Donatello went to the confrence room that used to be a regular sized office b/c it is the smallest or most Deminutive.
I got teased by my friends in the office that knew I loved the turtles. . . but to this day I don'tknow who it was that suggested it.

Found the original email. . .not much I didn't already say but thought I'd post it.
Thanks to all who submitted category names for our 4 conference rooms. The Council decided not to have one single winner, but award all those who participated. Therefore, no single name will be announced as the winner. The winning category actually falls under two categories:
ITALIAN ARTISTS, a.k.a., the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES
The names are rather stately for our 4 conference rooms. They are:
• Michelangelo Room (Main conference room)
• Raphael Room (Smaller corner conference room between Rhonda & Mark)
• Leonardo Room (Larger corner conference room between John and Jackie)
• Donatello Room (Small conference room between Andrea & Olga)
We have ordered nameplates for these rooms and will install them within the next couple of weeks. Thanks again to those who participated and Marsha will be around with a token of our appreciation.

When I was with a quiz bowl club in high school, when "renaissance painter" or "Italian painter" was mentioned in the question and didn't have a clue from the question, me and the other players would often state to guess one of the "Ninja Turtles", and this was during the height of the dark period. We would guess Leonardo and Michelangelo much more than Raphael and especially Donatello due to the overall output of their work.

My tag team partner named his son Donatello. A few other guys I work/wrestle with have worn TMNT shirts with their ring gear. And sometimes Balls Mahoney carries an old TMNT sports bottle with him.
Outside of wrestling, there's a Michaelangelo's Pizza not far from where I live.

I was looking for remixed game music on Youtube and I found out that someone covered the "Sewer Surfin'" BGM from TMNT: Turtles in Time. It was so freaking epic.

NECROPOST! A-HOY!
Just bought a Roku for Christmas. Have to fight adding a O to the front of the unit....
Also some sites ask for a Device Name. If my wife wouldn't object I'd debate naming it Saki.

I have an uncle named Don, though he's not named Donatello of course, and my dad has a teacher for his class named Mikey.
I remember in Geography we had to name Renaissance painters, and the teacher as she was giving the quiz said, "Hint hint: Think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Was pretty cool, too.

I keep finding them everywhere. I never even noticed them until I started getting back into TMNT late last year, but just yesterday I was in Wal-Mart and passed (without even looking for them) gift bags, a body pillow, a kids' sofa chair, puzzles, and boxers. And now at work, too, with the latest Happy Meal toy set. It's like they came out of the woodwork. Friggin' ninjas.... :trazz::tlol::tcool:

I just got off from work and rode the bus home. These two kids (a boy and a girl) talked about the TMNT to their mother. They mentioned that Leo is the blue one and Don is the purple one. It's so nice to hear that the turtles are known throughout this generation of children.

Was sitting in the Living room reading and my cousins started fighting over who was who. They tossed around a bunch of names like crazy saying "Bruce Wayne was Leonardo's friend because he's smart an stuff". I laughed since I knew who they mean't but never in a million years would I imagine Darksied and Michelangelo having tea and crumpets.:lol:

Friends and family love to give me Ninja Turtle themed gifts! A couple Christmases back my Uncle Randy bought me a woolen Michelangelo hat.

My folks named my sister and I "Michael" and "Angela". I still hear "Michelangelo" every time someone says our names together.
Pure coincidence as were both in our 30s.

My friends came around for a meal this evening and instead of flowers for the host they presented me with a 2k3 tmnt board game! Way better than flowers and made for a great night's entertainment. Totally unexpected! :)

In Portugal all the names are used except for Donatello. I have a friend called Michelangelo (Miguel Angelo)and I've met Leonardos and Rafaels.
I would guess that Spain and Italy would still us these names as well.
