Go to the forum's Main Page, and then click on General Discussion (toward the bottom) for non-TMNT stuff. There's an Age thread in there, which is prolly buried under the top-most threads.

Eep! A glitch in the Matrix! They're uploading a new program!
*runs about in circles, but gets too lazy to continue running*
Okay...I'm 18, soon to be 19. And since everyone else is saying what age they wish they were at, I'd say I wish I were...uh...seven. Don't ask, cuz I don't know. And cheer up dude, you're not the only guy here. I'm one of the few guys lurking about, and I'm usually the one who gets tortured by most of these...lovely ladies
*whispers to DMC*
Careful, some of 'em are looney!
*glomps on Azure because I haven't done so in awhile* I'm 19! Less than six months to twenty! I like my age, thank you very much.
And just to put this on-topic, what age do you all think the Turtles and Splinter are? I mean, what age do you, personally, see them as being? I kinda like the guys to be somewhere between 18 and 20. I see Splinter maybe in his early thirties (when the guys are 18-20.) Very mature for his age.

Wel, with the ages, I've heard so many different ages for Splinter, ranging from late thirties/early forties to seventies!!! I think of him around my parents age (45-55), and the guys about 18-20 as well...
shoe size? the turtles....18 Wides.
Splinter. Kinda hard since he's got rat-feet, plus he kinda walks on the balls of his feet. i'd like to see him wearing sandals or flip-flops, like in Kali's picture idea of the khaki shorts..... and the unbottoned hawaiian shirt....mmmmm.......
But what's YOUR shoe size, Machias? Mine's a six. *grumbles about how unfair it is to be top heavy with small feet*
I walk on the balls of my feet most of the time though.
(What the heck happened to my edit?)

Well, as for age, I'm 15 going on 16 in less than three weeks. (Yay!)
My shoe size is an 8 1/2, which I guess is about normal.
HorseTechie
04-24-2002, 05:19 PM
Geeeez... I am soo confused now.
But yeah... why is it when the Turtles wear shoes, they usually look stupid in them. (Like they have big clown's shoes or something). Seems like only Eastman and Laird can draw shoes/boots on 'em in a way that looks good.
Me... hah, my feet are soooo small, it's crazy. (But I'm only 5'2") Depending on the shoe manufacturer, I go from 6 1/2 to size 7 in womens. Sometimes I can wear a boys size 5 1/2 if I see something good there too.
Yay! Another tiny foot person! Except I'm about three or four inches taller than you are.
I'm more upset that I can't seem to find shoes that have no heels. I want a simple pair of flat sandals, and not those cheap drug store ones that give me blisters. Grr...
Saisei
04-24-2002, 05:53 PM
Heh...when all else fails, go for flipflops! Why? They're the most comfortable, and usually the least expensive. But I wouldn't suggest them if you're looking for something to go with a dress.
The problem with my feet is that they're extremely narrow, so I have a very hard time finding any sandals whatsoever...
HorseTechie
04-24-2002, 05:55 PM
heh.. I have wide feet too. Small and wide, small and wide... *decides to stop singing that deep n wide song about a river*
That's another sucky thing, I can't wear open toe sandals to work either, since I'm working around big copy machines. Loafers work.
I've tried flip-flops, I don't like them. They always slip off my feet. I have kinda narrow feet too. It's so hard to shop for shoes. I don't really like shoes though, and will go barefoot whenever I can, even in winter.
Saisei
04-24-2002, 08:21 PM

I think the Turtles could look good in combat style boots, or sandals. Of course...I think people look silly when they're nekkid other than shoes, so they'd need to wear something along with the shoes.

Heh... yeah, I like to go barefoot (socked feet in the winter) cause hubby is Asian and wants us to take our shoes off inside the house. It also helps keep the carpet cleaner.
Which brings me to connect bare feet to the Ninja Turtles. I dunno about you, but I often wonder how tough their feet are! I mean, the sewers aren't the cleanest place around, and what happens if they step on a broken glass bottle hiding under that murky water? Or worse, a druggie needle? They must have soles on their feet as tough as the pads on a dog or somethin.
DMC362
04-25-2002, 06:42 PM
I know because it has happened to me if your go bare-footed after a while the soles of your feet become calious to steping on some things.
Unless they were running they probaly would feel a object before they stepped hard enough to hurt them.

Now there's something I'd like to know...And why they only have three fingers...
Loolaa
04-29-2002, 11:35 AM
no... we actually do say 'legs it' over here!
I have no idea why the turtles ended up with two toes and fingers. I used to think that they had flippers and that the flippers split in two at the end. (strange theory, i know) but then later I saw they had toes any way...
okay... I'm rambling...
Loolaa
HorseTechie
04-29-2002, 12:37 PM
Hey.. that at least is closer to the truth! Aside from my Darwinian theory of hyperevolution...

Loolaa

*intrugued*
Loolaa
Gah... I guess I was too tired to get the joke...!
HorseTechie
04-29-2002, 01:05 PM
Hrmm.. I can't fully remeber how it went, But Darwin had theorized that through evolution, our little pinky toe will get smaller and smaller until it goes away. And the toe next to it gets bigger and stronger to compensate.
When the Turtles mutated, it was liked they also evolved a great ways too. Darwin had said everything was evolving down a similar path... so if humans are considered a higher advnaced species, then that's why the Turtles also look something like us.
Yeah.. it sounds crazy, but that's the theory Andrew Modeen and I cooked up... not that I'm a big fan of Darwin anyway!
Machias Banshee
04-29-2002, 03:11 PM
Interesting theory, HT! Kinda like the stuff with wisdom teeth, aint it? some people will eventually evolve to have no wisdom teeth at all.
I know that i'm the only one of my family to have only two wisdom teeth (Lets just say i got a LOT of things about me that no one else has ever had or seen...) everyone else has had to have them removed.
I'm leaving mine in for now, but its kinda scary for the dentist when he looks at them and sees nothing but rows of extra teeth...he says i'm like a freagging shark!
azure turtle
04-29-2002, 04:06 PM
Hmm, that is an interesting theory, HT! Darwin...I think I remember studying his theories in high school biology.
*looks at Machias with surprise*
Woah...that's a lot of teeth, even for a reptile!
*ducks baps*
But y'know, getting wisdom teeth pulled is not the greatest experience in the world. I had mine pulled about a year ago. My wisdome teeth were growing in crooked, so my dentist said they had to go, even though they didn't even surface yet! Needless to say, I went in to have them removed, they knocked me out with anesthetic, and I had cotton in my mouth for about a day. I was on a soft food/liquid diet for a whole week because I couldn't chew...and you've got to take the painkillers. Don't miss a dose! I accidentally missed one late at night, and I couldn't open my mouth for breakfast! Ooh, and it hurt...I clearly remember that.
*snaps out of his rant*
Okay, I'll shut up now.
Saisei
04-29-2002, 04:13 PM
Tsk...now look what you've done, HT! Your theory has everyone talking about teeth instead of feet.
I really liked how you tied in Darwin's concept of evolution with the Turtles, though. I'd never thought about it that way.
HorseTechie
04-29-2002, 05:41 PM
*shrug* what can I say? I majored in science.
Hrmm... I wish I had my wisdom teeth pulled. Nooo.. they went in there with a chisel and hammer like tools to break it up in peices before takening it out.
*makes another feeble attempt to stay on TMNT*
