Once again, it's time for another installment of our favorite figure series with regards to the action figures. This time, we are focusing on four lines of specialty figures released in 1992: The Turtle Games for the Olympiad, The Smash 'Em Bash 'Em figures, The Sewer Spittin' Turtles, and The Bodacious Birthday Turtles. Please discuss your favorites, vote, and discuss if you'd like.

Next week, we will vote on the Mutations Turtles & Splinter, Wacky Wild West Turtles, and the second Mutant Military line to wrap up 1992's figures.

Bandito Bashin' Mike. Love that figure. So wacky, cool accessories, super detailed sculpt. Got it for Christmas that year and fell in love with it, haha.

I agree, Bandito Bashin Mike is the best. Next is Crazy Clownin Mike and Beachcombin Mike. Sculpt, package (wider like the wacky action series) all 1992 were excellent.

I'm sorry I made a mistake; as I meant to but Sewer Cycli-Raph and Beachcombin' Mike instead of Sewer Scout Raph and Bandito-Bashin Mike (both excellent figures IMO with great sculpting and design); I'll just include the other two figures for the next poll. :tcry:

That said, I voted for Karate Choppin' Mike. It looks much more "Ninja Turtle" than most other uniforms we've ever seen, and with a big smile and a dragon patch on his right leg, it is really what the easy going Ninja Turtle out to be. Let's not forget the pizza power control handle to round off the package. The Smash 'em Bash'em Rocksteady and Bebop figures also look cool, giving them a sense of toughness that the other figures lack. The Kowabunga Kickboxin' Leo however says "Kick Foot" on the right leg, and that may lead some imbeciles to interpret that to simply kick the foot/leg until its broken beyond repair, similar to April and the "Press".

I'm sort of middling with Lifeguard Leo and Spike N' Volley Don. Their teeth tend to show too much, Don's undershirt is a bit too thin, and the purse around his body looks a bit more suitable for a woman. But the hats, lifesaver, glasses, and accessories are the strong points.

For the Bodacious Birthday Turtles, Leo looks terrific and I feel is what Mikey and Don should have looked like, and Raph, the Magenificent suits the fourth wall gagger well. Unfortunately, Playmates was clownin' around too much with Clownin' Mike; being overweight.

The Turtle Games figures are nice to display around Olympic Games, but otherwise save them for a rainy day.

Magician Raph. Seems to be the most detailed. Shame that he's pantless though.

Personally, I find most of these figures weak. I liked the Sewer Spitters, but in general the specialty figures had personality but little functionality. I always liked the looks of the figures but found that they were mostly annoying to try to play with because of their rigid stances or loose parts.

Got to go with the Bandito Basher! He comes with a little saguaro.... That should be reason enough to win!

Oh yes, after visiting "you", soooo sour... :ohwell: but your art is artistically, nevertheless !

Love Bandito Bashin' Michaelengelo. It was that gold tooth man and you know all the detail in making him a delightful Mexican Stereotype

Karate Choppin' Mike, because you cannot beat a Ninja Turtle in a karate uniform. The other ones are nice too. The Olympics figures say a lot about '92. 1992 was the last year for Winter and Summer Olympics. The Summer Olympics were memorable because of the Dream Team. Playmates could have re-released Slam Dunking' Donny with USA Basketball colors. It's too bad that was a missed opportunity. The Wacky Wild West titles really do match the characters of the Turtles. I reckon Crazy Cowboy Don looks great in front of that magazine ad for Turtles In Time. The Wacky Wild West figure were the last wave for '92.
