You know despite all the negativity in the world today, I like to think there's still a lot of good in people! Growing up, the boys in green taught me to care for others and show concern for those in need. Also, I probably wouldn't be the optimistic person I usually am if it weren't for the TMNT!

I learned that hitting open a fire hydrant will spray water on your enemies and knock them down to the ground.

I learned that it's a good idea to help others who are in trouble and to treat people with respect, especially elders.

Nothing positive, really. It's just a fun, fictional bit of escapism.

That turtles fight with honor. In all seriousness, that was probably my first exposure to the idea of fighting with honor. That there is a degree of honor that should be involved in fighting.

I learned to conserve water by turning off the faucet while brushing and to cut up the plastic holders drinks come in so sea critters won't get caught in them.

I never throw away plastic cup holders without cutting them up after seeing that turtle tip.
All the turtle tips have taught me the right way to be good.

I learned that you can all sorts of junk on pizza and it will still taste good.

The Turtles occasionally goof off and do stupid things, but they have never turned evil and broken any rules, and view them as good role models for presenting how to bring out the good in people, and that's what matters. All of their catchphrases/battle cries proves who are the protagonists. The Foot is what brings out the bad in people if they believe in them.

Yeah well it's hard to be positive when all you're reading are a bunch of bland black and white reptiles remorsely gutting and decapitating people:roll:
Thankfully the version everyone remembers above all others taught us more meaningful things than that
Broaden your "mind" oh humble slave to Mirage, you might get something out of it.

Zarius, I respect your desire to defend your favorite incarnation, but at the same time I have to respect Andrew's right to voice his opinion. You totally missed the whole point of this thread. This was an attempt (a rather vain one) to bring a little peace and understanding to the fandom, not an excuse for bringing on more pathetic flame wars!

Recently at my job, some nutjob customer came up to one of my coworkers and started harassing her. She wanted this customer to leave her alone, but she woudn't, so I stood up for her and told the customer to leave, and she did. The coworker thanked me. I thought of the Turtles when I did that.

Good for you! That's the kind of selflessness we need more of in this world!
