I was just reading through Metallica's "Master of Puppets"-booklet and was really stunned when I saw the very last paragraph on the last page. There it says:
"Also extra ****en yahooz to..[...] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles[...]"
How cool is that? Any other famous Ninja Turtles-fans?

Actually I can rememer one more, back when Digital Rim was still supposed to a CGI TMNT movie, John Woo said he likes the original TMNT to, and wants to produce a darker animated movie. To bad this never happened...

Oh yeah I kinda remember hearing about that... It's a shame that never came to be, that could have been the best incarnation of the TMNT.

(I have faith in Jon Woo)

Atleast the best on screen. To bad the contract timed out... But I have faith in Steve Barron to. It's good to have him working on the Hallmark miniseries.

Ooops, yeah Sorry that's what I meant actually.

Steve Barron.. he did the first movie, right?
If so, then I also have faith in him to deliver the goods so to speak

Heh, probably would. He is a voice talent afterall. I wonder if he has ever done any cartoons?

Sure has! He was Batty in Ferngully the Last Rainforest and I think he also did the voice of Genie in some of the stuff of Disney's Aladin, if I am not mistaken. I'm sort of a fan of his. Robin Williams doing a voice for something in TMNT would be very cool in my opinion.

I know comic artist Joe Madureira likes them.

"The Turtles rock! I always sucked at drawing them when I was back in school and I really wanted to get em right. I would definately want to draw the Turtles gain in some capacity, you bet."

He said that back in December 2000 in issue 111 of Wizard: the Guide to Comics.

And his rendition of them was badass to say the least.

Meh.

I was kind of mad when i heard them say that.I believe that was Judith Gold commenting about she was "glad that it was over" on the the 1988 segment of VH1's "I Love The 80s". If you ask me, I think VH1 purposely aired that clip of her saying that so that she could eat those words later on; they knew that TMNT was coming back and wanted to spite her.

Personally, I hope at the moment she's tied up in a straitjacket in a padded cell losing her sanity right now shouting, "I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER!! I THOUGHT WAS OVER!!! GOD, PLEASE, MAKE THAT TEENAGE KARATE FREAK FROG CRAZE GO AWAY FOR GOOD!"

Judy, all I to say to you is :P

there was an ad for Metallica and well, i didnt really see it that good but she was convinced it looked Turtle-y. So i told her that someone mentioned here that Metallica liked the TMNT.

Today on MuchMusic (The Canadian Music Station) I saw an interview with Vanilla Ice and "Nardwuar" (a goofy VJ).

Anyway, Nardwuar said somehting about Eminem and how "he got 8Mile, and you got the Turtles" and Ice said "Hey man, I love the Turtles. And a lot of people love them way more than 8Mile anyway." The they Laughed. And Nardwuar said that everyone watching was singing the Ninja Rap in their heads now.

It was kinda cool because it was only a few hours after I had looked through this thread.

(BTW, those weren't exact quotes, but they were pretty much like that)

Tetsu Deinonychus
05-28-2003, 11:22 PM
TMNT2: Secret of the Ooze was at least better than 8Mile.

Of course, if I crapped in a bag, set it on fire, and put it on my own front porch for me to stomp out it'd still be better than watching 8Mile!

That's what I'd be thinking if someone pulled the burning bag trick on me.
**stomp stomp** "At least, I'm not watching 8Mile. The smell's about the same as that movie though."

I mean, normally with bad movies I say, "It's better than a sharp stick in the eye.", but with this one, it's kind of a toss-up!

so, to review, 8Mile is worse than stomping out a flaming bag of crap (although there's little difference since the whole movie is one big flamming bag of crap to begin with!) And, it's on the same level as a sharp stick in the eye! But, that's just my opinion.

Anyway, who the hell is Judith Gold?

Yeah, I hate Eminem for threemain reasons:

1) His Music SUCKS!

2) He's an obnouxious egotistical JERK who, abused his wife and wrote a song about KILLING her! He also insults various perfectly nice people for no reason in his songs!

3) He is NOT the real Slim Shady, I am!
