Could not see any info about this so had to open a thread. I collect single issues and had purchased TMNT Volume 1: Change is Constant Deluxe Edition HC for my shelf. So, not buying TPBs of the main series.
Will the current IDW series go on to be collected in Deluxe Edition HCs? Any info or news?

At one point or another, Bobby had said that only Change was Constant was getting the Hardcover treatment.

This topic title got me very angrited. I was angry because I had already purchased the TPB because Bobby had said no more Deluxe HC's and excited because I thought it was gonna happen.
Unfortunately as stated above Mr. Curnow said that the only Deluxe HC would be for Change is Constant, so the chances of any others are slim to none.

its a portmanteau of Angry and Excited. I even went on to use those words in the post for the uninitiated

Gah... bad news...
I am not sorry that i bought the Deluxe HC. Loved it. But sorry to hear it probably will not continue.
I will be buying the TPBs then... thanks for the info guys.

does IDW ever collect their TPBs into larger editions? 4 issues a book isn't making me bite, especially after collecting each comic individually.

I know sometimes they do Omnibus editions. They did for the 3 Ghosbusters miniseries recently. I do not know the size or HC/TPB treatment thing tho. But I believe they are just same material / size made into one book only. Thicker and etc.
TPBs/HCs are great for rereading. Hate pulling my issues out of boxes. But having them in larger format and as HC for shelves would be great.
What a pity it seems they only did it for the first collected book.
At least we are going on to get the Ultimate TMNT books in large HC format.

The main purpose of the deluxe Vol. 1 hardcover was to publish Kevin's layouts. He didn't do layouts beyond #4, so there'd be no extra content to include.

Really the only incentive for me is that they collect some of the variant covers I miss out on, but since they retail for $18 ($2 more than collecting 4 singles), it hardly seems worth it.

I traded buying issues to waiting for the TPBacks to come out due to them being easier for me to aquire, and easier to take care of.

yeah I was wondering if someone knew of an update on this. Will there be a HC Vol 2?
I bet there won't be at this point but who knows? Maybe they could do annotations for vol 2 or something since eastman only did layouts for 1-4 issues
it would be good to get it in HC

Go to Amazon and you can pre-order the trades for about $10-11 each. That's what I've been doing.

I'm sure whatever I said had some qualifiers attached to it. There is no plan for more hardcover collections of new IDW stuff right now (outside of Limited), BUT I wouldn't be surprised if that changed one day in the future. I know over in Transformers, they do "complete" HC collections, that have different issues in story order-- I could see us doing something like that with our book, putting the micros where they belong.
Not hinting at anything, there has been ZERO discussion of that. But doesn't mean that we won't in the future. Impossible to say.

I would assume that once the Ultimate Hardcover 5 has come and gone.....there will be another TMNT Hardcover offering...whatever that may be
