Here's something I discovered that fellow Canadians will be interested in. There are actually two listings for the upcoming complete classic series. One is $99, not a good deal considering that's its retail price elsewhere. But there's also a listing for $67.99.

If you're concerned with it not being the correct product, I wouldn't be. First off, it's still advertised as the complete classic series. Secondly, I've found amazon has a good return policy and the few times I needed to return anything, I was refunded.

What's Amazon's shipping to the States like? I know it wouldn't fall under Prime, but for a few bucks of shipping it'd be worth saving ~15 or so.

Huh, the listing has gone up fifty cents.
In answer to your question, Venom, I think shipping to the states would be just enough to not be worth your while. Right now the difference is $21.49, and shipping to you would run $15-20 (probably closer to 20). Plus the exchange rate would get you as the Canadian dollar is higher. In the end you would probably pay around $5 more than if you bought it from amazon.com.

Cool to know - thanks, Ross! I pre-ordered it a while back through Amazon US at 89.99 but was curious. :)

Since I work in anti-fraud, when I saw the title cutoff on the main page as "Canadians: Cheap 87 Complete..." and that the last person to reply before me was a mod, I was sure it was a pharmaspammer

Looks like amazon.ca has wised up. The cheap listing is gone, but the $99 one is now $87.49 (comparable to US's listing).
Glad at least you got a cheap one as well, dragonside!

i sent them an email telling them how pissed off i am that they did that, and that that's a good way to lose business. f'n Amazon better not start scewing people over

Woah Woah Woah. I'm sure Amazon has got you covered even thought it was a mistake. Of all retailers, Amazon is a good one.

Actually amazon is pretty bad for situations like this. If you don't notice removed listings yourself and contact them, they usually just cancel your order (on the release date of the product or a couple weeks after) with no offer of fixing the problem. The other shady tactic they sometimes pull is to keep it in your order history forever claiming that "it was a surprise sell out" and they don't have enough stock to fill all orders. They then continually delay the shipment date forever (or until you cancel the order yourself).

I disagree. Amazon has a good policy when it comes to situations like this. There was going to be a big collection of all the Marvel movies in a big SHIELD briefcase a few months back, but due to legal issues the product had to be withdrawn. Amazon gave just about anyone who preordered a FREE Avengers Blu-Ray set.
But yeah, I wouldn't buy the Turtles set even if it had stayed at that price. The only way I'd consider buying a big FW set if if it had the episodes IN ORDER and on the right discs.

There are only 2 episodes out of order. The Euro vacation eps don't matter.
