Do you think a movie with that plot would be good on the big screen? The whole sheddar background is full of twists. Pretty interesting i thought. Loved that series up untill the very last season.

Are you asking if we think the new movie should be based on the 2003 4Kids series?

Since he has a wrath maybe it's Wreck-It Ralph?

I'm trying to figure out how you deduced he was talking about 2K3. "TMNT series" could mean a zillion things.

If the 2003 series were to be made into a film series, it could work if done carefully and well. Film number one would be the Mouser plot and a Shredder fight, film two would be the Utroms coming to earth to prevent a Triceraton invasion, and film three would be Shredder picking up the pieces and making a starship. But then again, that would only make sense if Ch'Rell was used, which I'm sure many fans would be against.

Only "sheddar background" I could think of that was "full of twists" was the 2k3 series with its "OMG Shredder is Krang!" reveal.

I wouldn't be against it if they did go down the 2K3 route, but I'd rather they didn't. That story has been told, borrow from it sure, but I want the new film to tell it's own story.

Plus since most film series these days seem to stick with the trilogy model, you'd have to really cut the the 2K3 story down to it's bare bones to try and fit that structure. Not saying it couldn't be done well, but I think it worked best as a series where things could develop more over time.

The new movie needs to draw from what came before, not be an exact copy. I mean there really isn't a point for it to just be the same thing over again. I can understand liking the story but that is what the dvds of the series are for.

^ this. Do we really need an origin story again? Then again, if they CHANGE the origin like they planed on, I guess we do.

I think the basic origon needs to be covered again, but not in depth. Like have it be in there but not the main story. But I think that is what we will get.

I'd say going the IDW route would be my preference, since the original movie was based upon the Mirage series, and given the good reception to IDW, would be my preference. However, if the movie was based upon TV series, I'd prefer either a live action adaption of the first season of Fred Wolf since even though that story has been told, would look wonderful in live action since it is well-known, since the 2k3 route seems to be a bit of a rehash of the original movies since that also used Mirage source material, though 2k3 exclusive stuff like Hun and Bishop would be fine. But as always, it's best to choose one main source material followed by mixing up a few pieces from other series and then adding a little bit of original material to keep it fresh.

Yeah, I agree with this. There's always someone who hasn't seen anything TMNT related. Now if the movie is supposed to be a sequel, well I guess an origin wouldn't be needed. A reboot though? Yeah, just a basic run through would work.

If they're going to cover the origin, I'd rather they did it in brief snippets that tell the story without drawing it out, much like the opening for The Incredible Hulk film.

Personally I'd rather have them do a mixture of the Mirage Comics, 80's Cartoon and 2k3 cartoon, i know it be hard to accomplish but if done right it would work well
