So Halloween is quick approaching, only 33 days away. Time to start thinking of what you're going to dress up as if you do that kind of thing. That is also if you don't already know. I've found that those who still dress up usually know much farther in advance what they will dress up as.
Like I've been toying with different ideas sense last year. Only narrowed it down about two months ago to have new ideas enter the mix. It wasn't tell today that I had committed. Wondering how many of my fellow dromers are going to take part in dressing up, and what as.
As for me I'm going to do Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who / Torchwood. I'll post some pictures once I get all the pieces. It would be fun to hear and see what you guys are going to do.

I've always wanted one of those giant ape costumes, but they're way too expensive. And I know if I got one, I'd end up wearing it all the time, so it's probably best that i don't get it.

It's awesome to see other people respond. I love Halloween. Easily my favorite holiday. Hope to see some pictures after halloween.

I wanted to sew myself a lolita dress for halloween, or a victorian style dress but... things came up. And money issues so I'm not sure what i'm goin to be.. :ohwell:

I've been trying to finish two, a steam punk and a poison Ivy costume but I honestly haven't put enough time to it. If I don't finish either one I'll probably end up going as princess peach again.:ohwell:

Princess Peach is cool. I thought about trying to do a Mario theme with my roommate and his GF. But she would have to be Daisy as he is tall and skinny and I'm the chubby one.
Though I've never let body shape dictate costume. I'm one of the few I guess who does this.

Basie, probably.
Never really dressed up for Halloween besides ages 8-10. I might vlog about it instead.

So tracking down a suitable coat might prove a problem again this year. THe upside about Captain Jack is there are plenty of times he coes coatless. I got my vortex manipulator ordered which is the important part.

I'd like to dress up as John Murdoch from Dark City, but I'm not sure if that's gonna work out since renting anything costume-wise is a bit of a hassle around here.

I have a few costumes from previous years in my closet (Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Saturn and The Baroness) so I need a new one for this year. Wanted Super Mario but they only had one big enough for 3-4 year olds....I need one big enough for a 7 year old to fit me.

Father in Law passed last Halloween day. We aren't doing Halloween anymore.
Though I kinda want my boy to dress up and have his fun. I haven't dressed up since I was 12.

you shouldn't let that stop you from doing it. The whole point of Halloween is to show tribute to the other worldly being which now your father in law is one of them.
When my father died 5 years ago i started to make zombies......not sure how that fits together....

I'm gonna hit a party either as Logan from X-Men Origins (my go to costume) or as Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls. Haven't decided yet.

It took you 4 months to find a Men's Warehouse?
Moving awwwwn. No dress up for me, the monsters don't usually wear costumes anyway. This year is gonna be kinda sh*tty now that I'm out of Orlando. My niece usually got up to wacky stuff on the day and it was always fun watching her be a complete bitch to other kids. Gonna probably hang with Katie's niece and nephew but those kids aren't trained to be amazing yet.
If I can score some candy cigarettes or whatever they call them now it'll be a success.

A chestburster victim. So far i've got the chestburster paper machied, just need to paint and draw some details on it. It'll be by no means amazing, but I love the home made costume look :D I've also got an old green shirt which now has a coupla Alien patches on it (USS Nostromo) and a white t-shirt for underneath to cover in fake blood and have the xenomorph poking his wee head through...

Everything looked very green in the picture so I thought it was the Green Hornet :D
I've got a party to go to tonight so I'm gonna pull an older costume out, a cereal killer. Basically a redneck hunter looking guy with a cereal motif (Coco Puffs t shirt, Purple horseshoe for the cowboy hat and some small cereal boxes on a rope as trophies)
On Halloween, the local comic shop is holding a contest and it's on the way to my friend's haunted house I'm helping out at so I'm going to stop by there in my soon to be homemade costume (I'm doing a Charlie brown ghost, just need to make a bunch of holes in a sheet and grab a Rock Lord toy to put in my bag :) )

I wish I could get an actual costume to wear on halloween. :ohwell: I guess i could just make my hair as crazy as possible, wear some shorts with leggings underneath, because who knows what the weather will be like, a pair of wedged winter boots and one of my brother's dress shirts. and whatever. :P

Incoming Transmission...
While it may not qualify as an actual costume for Halloween (for me anyways), this year I'm attempting to construct a maze for the first time themed around the Slender Man. So much time and effort (and money) has been going into that project that I've neglected my own costume by attempting to create a home for a character that I also have to dress/place, etc.
So, I suppose in a way you could say I'll be going as Slender Man this year.
End Transmission.
