Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is already posted (yes that's why God gave us a search engine) but at my local Toys "R" Us they have the Nickelodeon TMNT basic figures for $8.99 and it's buy one get one free. I am going there tomorrow after I watch the premier on Nick but I just thought I share with everyone.

Yeah you're like the third guy to make a thread about it.

Hey, if people want to spend $12 + for a figure where they can get it cheap be my guest.
If that's the case then please lock the thread.

Sadly, I went to my TRU and unfortunately there was no sale, so I just decided to go back to WalMart and get the remaining 7 figures to complete my 9-figure basic set. Target was $8.49 and was considered on sale, but it was still more than Taget's $7.77.

They're not $12 in any store I've been in. Don't get sour grapes over sharing old news.

Most they sell for is $9 and they are cheaper than that at walmart.

Plus that buy 2 get 1 free sale ended at TRU. It did at mine anyways.

I'm going to go today to both TrU and Target, because they're practically right next to each other. Hopefully they're BOGO at TrU.

Never heard of 'sour grapes'? Wow.

Also, went to my TrU today, and the only sale they had going on was 'Buy One, Get One 50% Off' of the 11" Turtles.

I went to TRU today; all of the 11" figures were completely sold out.

Yeah, my wife and I are on our honeymoon in NYC and the 11" were flying off the shelf. It was, 'buy 1 get 1 50% off'. Basic figures are nearly 12 bucks and all thrown in bins now. Bent cards galore. This is the Times Square location, I'm referring to... They have a Ferris wheel inside. Crazy but a nice store nonetheless.

Hope you have a happy honeymoon, Mr. Ghost!!!

May it be filled with Ninja Turtles and happiness; wait a minute, that's the same thing. :tgrin:

Happy honeymoon Digital Ghost :)

Yeah the sale is over. I was actually hoping it was going to last long, but when I went to my locale Toys "R" Us to exchange a better MOC April, the 6 inch basic figures from the 2012 series were listed $10.49

The classic collection are $19.98 if I'm not mistaken. I am going to pick up the shell storage and SFX figures soon, providing they don't sell out and Metalhead, Dogpound and Fishface don't come too early.

What do you mean by shell storage turtles? Is there a new set of turtles figures out?

I think I am calling the line wrong, but their little larger in scale and you can place their weapons in their shell. I apologize if that's not the name of the line.

I call them "storage shell" figures, but they are actually called "battle shell" same thing except bigger. I have all 4 of them, and to be honest I kind of regret the purchase. Not as articulated and same sculpt as the original nick line. Cost was my main complaint ($100), but if I could have gotten them for around 60 I would have been happy I think.

@savagejon123: Lol. I have been calling the line that ever since I saw them at Toys "R" Us.

@Coro: Really ? I am tempted to buy them but I had my doubts. I wonder why they made them bigger as opposed to the original line they were 6 inches ? What do you think about the sfx figures ?

The battle shells are 11 inch....they are pretty tall. Here is a pic with the reg nick figs next to the battle shell guys. Pretty big compared to the other lines.

And I just noticed that Leo's swords are drooping in the large ones. They are a heavier, but more flexible plastic. I rotated them so they are posed backwards to even them back out. Ugh...design flaw.

Was anyone able to capitalize on this sale? I checked TRU.com at 9am on Saturday morning and saw the B1B1F listed under the basics so I went into the retail store. There were no sale signs (except for the 11" figures which have been on sale for 3 weeks now) so I brought 2 up to the counter to verify. They were not aware of any deal and they did not ring up as one free. But they were going to match the online deal except when they checked their computer, the B1G1F verbiage had changed! Was I imagining it? Or was this an online only sale for like only 2 hours.

First of all it was buy 2 and get 1 free....it covered almost the whole store for Geoffery's birthday or some crap like that. My neighbor got the full set of 9 Nick figs for 50 bucks. But this was 2 weeks ago....methinks you were late.

No, the B2G1 was an actual ad sale from the week of the 16th. I was well aware of that sale. This thread is discussing a buy one get one free rumor that was going around as a special promotion for the 29th. Kind of like how Xcomics ran a 1/2 off digital TMNT comics promo to celebrate the new show. Like I said in my previous post, I'm almost positive I saw the B1G1promo online before leaving for the store Saturday morning. By the time I got there, the verbiage changed to their usual "Ships free" promo under the basic figures. Unless I'm going crazy (which is possible! :))

If thats the case then I had not heard about this sale, and I think everyone was talking about the B2G1 sale not BOGO....that may be the disconnect here

You know Coro I'm not being sarcastic but after viewing that picture that you have of the shell storage/battle storage and basic 6 inch figures together, I really dig the pose you did for the 6 inch figures. I wish I can pose my figures like that. Yes, yes, yes I know it's easy but I am always afraid they are going to look goofy with me trying to pose them.

I agree to that Leo's swords don't look so good. I wonder if they are going to release The Giant Turtles like they did previously or these figures are combined with the storage shells ?

I think these 11 inch battle shell turtles are your giants.

I think this is the first time I've seen these turtle figures.

Just to be clear, these aren't the 11" figures that were on sale are they?

There are only 1 set of 11" figures...the battle shell (storage shell) ones. I posted them on the page before this.
