Do you want Leatherhead to be hero or villain?

I hope he's a hero. I'd liked how he was handled in the 03 series more than the original toon. I always found it cool when the Turtles teamed up with him and added the extra muscle to the team.

I will always see him working best as a villain. Leatherhead has been everything human turned mutant,hero,villain,wild card,aligator,crocodile.Now if he is a croc or an aligator it makes no difference,but I simply loved the '87 cartoon take on the aligator turned humaniod gator bully out for revenge. His desgin does not really matter,hey he is a gator! Though I loved the cajun accent and one quip after the other. You could clsoe your eyes and listen to one of his four episodes(even in Renaday's one outing of the four) and get pure enjoyment from his dialogue. Secondly,he is a natural predator of a turtle so it would make snese for him ot wnat to snap the turtles shells and eat some hot turtle gumbo. There has not been a poor portrayal of Leatherhead,but he is best as a villain if anything. He can be anything, but as long as he is an evil gator that is all that matters!

Definitely both, i like characters that walk that line. Sort of like Catwoman. Just with more scales and less boobs.

Yeah I usually think of him as a main villain. But I do like the idea of him teaming up with the turtles in a few rare occasions. He could help the turtles fight The Rat King, The Mousers, The Triceratons, or The Kraang for some reason. It makes sense that they could share a common enemy at times. I'd like the reluctant helper angle of Leatherhead while he usually is an enemy to the turtles.

I'd say both really. He could start out as a villain and then be reformed later on if they wanted to go that route.

Like the Rat King, Leatherhead has always been a wild card in terms of its affiliation. However it seems that once someone turns good/evil, there is no looking back, and I'd say its best to keep Leatherhead as a villain since Alligators have tremendously powerful jaws that can crush turtle shells and the bones of small mammals. This covers the Turtles and Splinter, and I'd like to see Leatherhead start out as a natural villain without being interrupted in its first appearance, unitl later becoming loyal to Fishface, since I feel that both could get along well as a team.

Hmmm I can't decide. Do I want him as Bayou Bubba ala the OT or Spiderman's "The Lizard" like 2K3 made him. I think I prefer the 2K3 route cause a hillbilly alligator is stupid no matter how you look at it.

He was created by Krang,but rewired by Donatello. It became too much for Metalhead so he attacked Shredder and the mutant henchmen as well as the sick turtles. In the end though he was on the turtles side as their nurse/maid robot. I classify him as an ally who happened to be created by Krang. Its strange to me that he was he was the second boss in Turtles In Time especially since his figure's card says he is a good. Shredder mutated the punk frogs inadvertedly and trained them to be fores but were friends just like Mondo Gecko was trained by a mob boss,but in the end was good.

i agree the 03 was better him and donatello can work on science together and if they bring back slash the evil version of the turtles they can tag team them

I loved him in the 2k3 series. I liked his episode from Nick too. A tragic hero of sorts.

I never understood the premise of that game.. The turtles taunt him.. so he goes white eyed. Huh? Also, that game was released before the episode. So, combined with the fact that he was listed as a villian in the itunes preview, I'm going to say Nick just wanted to portray him as a villian so the end of the episode would be a surprise.

Leatherhead is a hero. The fact that he is willing to die to stop earth from being taken over by the Kraang shows that wether he decides to join the turtles or not, he is good. The only way I could see him becoming a villian is if the Kraang were to succeed in controlling his brain. All of the violent things he did were beyond his control, and when he IS back in control he is horrified by what he has done. I think he is getting better at controlling it though, as during the end of "It Came From The Depths" he mentioned the Kraang multiple times, and was able to switch into his "white eye" mode while keeping his composure.

No matter what happens to him in the series, I will not forget his willingness to sacrifice himself for the safety of mankind.
