In the 1987 show, we are introduced to two fictional countries.
*"April's Fool" uses "Malicuria"
*Raphael Meets His Match" mentions "Vadeem"
What do we know about these countries? Have you ever thougth more about them? Planned fan fiction, where maybe the TMNT go there, or what? Please tell.

I never thought much of those made up countries, though based on the characters' accents I always figured Malicuria was inspired by European culture while Vadeem was Italian.

I think using them again (in the 1987 show TMT universe) would be actually cool, especially if they were visited.

No way that Vadeem is Italian, practically all Italian place names end in a vowel. If anything, Malicuria sounds more Italian than Vadeem thoses. It also could be in reference to the African nation Mali. Vadeem may sound Portugese or perhaps Middle Eastern.

Mayne Malicuria is also a French reference, to the Curies (Pierre and Marie, 19th century scientists). Also, Mali was once a French possession.
Tintin is much better on this, playing around on fictional countries.
