View Full Version : Do you think Casey Jones will be shown but not pointed out in Season 1?
I doubt it, but wouldn't that be cool?
EDIT: To clarify, Casey was always planned for the second season with hints to him in the form of graphiti until then. I'm just wondering, after he's introduced, if we might be able to go back and pick him out of the background of a Season 1 ep.

Well his presence has been confirmed, at least. Graffitti & whatnot. It's possible but I dunno how likely... Unless you meant nods to him.

The only instance I've ever seen something like this in a TMNT cartoon is when in the 4Kids series the mayor appeared in episode five with his kid (several seasons before he was actually shown as the mayor).

It'd be interesting to "see" Casey before we know he's Casey. Maybe he'll be on the news or something.

It would be cool, but I think the only reference will have of him will be the graffiti all over the city.

I'd kinda like to see Casey as a grown up character this time around, maybe in his mid 30s. I just can't imagine him being depicted as a teenager. Also just because April is the Turtles' age in this iteration doesn't mean Casey has to as well.

Why can't you imagine Casey as a teenager? We're seeing a younger Casey in the IDW comics right now.
Plus with April being 16, Casey being 18 makes a lot of sense. Seem funny if they start dating though as April is a minor.

Yea but they're not that young in IDW. They're friggin' college students! Besides, why do April and Casey have to be in a relationship? They didn't date in the original cartoon (not onscreen anyway). Besides I'd kinda like to see them use the Casey/Gabrielle/Shadow backstory from "City at War", but the only way for that to work would be for Casey to be old enough to have a young daughter.

I can't imagine they wouldn't include him. He's been around since the Mirage comics, and unless I'm mistaken, he's been in every TMNT canon at least once (even if it took the storywriters a while to put him in the 80s cartoon).
To hop on the bandwagon of the current discussion, I personally think that an older Casey would be cool, but I'd not be overly disappointed if he was the Turtles' and April's age as well.

He will probably just be introduced as a rowdy older teen who has a temper in Season 2, with the only possible reference being a hockey mask that looks like his or an episode with "lawbreakers". Of course, we could always have April imagining that she wants a boyfriend and pictures some Casey characteristics.
with April being 16
I wonder if I'll ever keep that straight in my head I've always thought she looks 12, and know she's supposed to be older than that, but I keep forgetting that I'm off by more than two.
