Aside from the essential 7 of the four turtles,Splinter,April, and Shredder who are the favorites of overall fandom in any and all media? I have my favorites and we all do,but who are the ones that most like is what I am curious to know.

I know Mona Lisa,Slash,Bebop, and Rocksteady all have a huge following, but which other characters have a good zied fanbase of thier own and what attracts us to these characters of the few hundred characters in TMNT multimedia? Just call me curious.

As for myself, it's Karai, Metalhead, and Casey Jones.

I'm surprised you didn't include Casey in there, he's definitely tops for me. Also fond of Leatherhead as well, and maybe Bishop. Maybe. Still deciding how I feel about him, but figured I'd toss him out there.

The Mutanimals have always been my favorite secondary characters, especially Mondo Gecko and Leatherhead!

I am NOT asking who your favorites are rather who are the most POPULAR SECONDARY characters OVERALL. I apologize if I did not make that clear. I think Leatherhead is,but is it just his '87 cartoon villianous incarnation or the character as a whole? Others throughout the multiverse?

Everyone's got different tastes though, so it's sort of difficult to say who really is the most popular character. Also threads like this have been done to death!

You made it plenty clear. It's just that there are more stupid people on this earth than any other kind.

Thanks,Powder.

Jeph,I don't remember one and could not find anything in the archives. I make sure of that most of the time before posting a new topic. I have a curioisty to who the cult faves are. I assume Leatherhead and Usagi(even if another person's character),but the 4 above are the ones that fans are everywhere on the net and offline.

The fan favorite characters are usually the most used characters.

Characters who appear in every incarnation like Baxter Stockman, Rat King and Leatherhead become popular for that reason...we always see them.

Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady appeared in somewhere around 150 episodes of the OT, (or maybe a little less, since there's a lot of eps where they don't appear at all), and we saw them so much.

Others manage to become incredibly popular because they're used well, like Slash and Armaggon who only primarily had good roles in Archie.

Leonardo, Baxter Stockman, April O' Neil, Michelangelo and Snakweed.

Baxter Stockman is more an ordinary character, at least during season 1-early season 2.

Bebop and Rocksteady seem to be fairly popular. Seems like with every new incarnation of TMNT there's a lot of people hoping they'll show up.

True, but I love the mad scientist aspect of him.

Let's not forget the ordinary Foot Soldiers, as they are basic unit of the Foot Clan and have been presented in numerous different forms, from robots to humans to the weapons to they throw to the recoloring to the Foot insignia depending on the incarnation. They are also sought after in toy collecting for army usage. The 4kids fans also love Hun and Bishop for their importance to that series and are the first two characters I think of when I think of the originals for that series. Irma, Vernon, and Burne could also be included since they appeared in around 100 episodes of the OT.

I think its ironic most of the 4kids-created characters with the exception of Hun, Bishop and Ch'rell have pretty much been forgotten. And by that I mean nobody brings them up or cares to see them again.

The 3 break-out new characters from 4kids were Hun, Bishop and Ch'rell...who I count as different from the usual Shredder character we always get.

Hun was a more indentifiable Tatsu and had connection to Casey Jones backstory...he also went through development over the course of the show. Bishop filled in the standard, "government dissects the Turtles and has a secret alien agency" type character, and Ch'rell was just the new evil Shredder who happened to be an Utrom.

Other than that, Karai/Baxter/Foot Elite, Leatherhead, Rat King, Triceratons all originated in Mirage, even if the 4kids takes were a little different.

Hun is cool as a gang leader.

Agent Bishop was one of the characters that crossed my mind when I thought up the thread. I love the character, but that is just me. Hun is boring and flat. While Bebop and Rocksteady are flat they are entertaining something Hun is not thought that is just my opinion. Is Hun actually popular and is my perception that Agent John Bishop being popular among fandom true? As for Chre'll his character is controversial among the fanbase and one I don't think is well liked, but not outright hated overall either.

How do you think Hun is boring and flat? He was by the most developed of Shredder's "right hand man" type of characters and was intertwined with Casey's backstory. He goes from being a street punk, to the leader of the Purple Dragons, to then falling out with Shredder, and then turning the Purple Dragons into a more organized batch of criminals.

Hun was by one of the best characters we got out of the 4kids series, which is why he's the most memorable.

Yeah, and it rocks when using the Purple Dragons even in non Shredder-related episodes. Hun was the coolest such guy since Tatsu (except when Baxter Stockman was hanging on Hun later in the 2003 show).

I really liked Hun and Bishop, heck I think Bishop was a better villain than Shredder and was able to kick the shell out of the four turtles at the same time.
