Did not see this one given a thread to itself yet so I thought I would make one for it. I just watched The Making Of Metalhead for the first time in about three years with Metalhead being reworked in the new cartoon. I forgot that Metalhead drilled into the lair. That is a plothole just as Baxter finding the lair back in Return of The Shredder. Krang sent him after the turtles yet Krang was unaware where the turtles lair was according to the dialogue. Could Metalhead had a tracking sensor such as his warning system of Shredder approaching as to how he found the lair?

A heavymetal quip was made by Michelangelo in this one as well yet it had nothing to do with Metalhead oddly enough.

The plot device to weaken the turtles with turtle pox that only mutant turtles can get was silly. Why not just catch a virus? It works better and is not silly.

Here we see Krang's invention become an ally of the TMNT. What else have the turtles taken aside from the two vehicles from Baxter's workshop?

Nice bit at the construction site. Construction sites go well with the turtles fights from the prefight doughnuts to Shrieka melting the would be new location of Channel Six News. I think Leo got ambushed there in the comics too. Metalhead just started to shoot at anyone. Funny, effective, and logical plot point! Any thoughts on this episode?

I loved how they had Metalhead speak in the Turtles voices. That's what I loved about him as a kid.

I believe Metalhead only shows up in 1 more episode as a gag where Don uses him as a vacuume.

Yes, that was Big Bug Blunder.

I thought The Making of Metalhead was a cool episode, I thought it was clever how he didn't need to use the module and he could drill his way to the surface by himself.

What makes you angry you never saw him again is that they mention at the end how he'll now be a part of the turtles arsenal or something similar only to never be seen again outside the quick cameo as a vacuum cleaner.

It is odd considering we saw a number of Don's inventions numerous times like the dimensional portal, the Turtle Comms, the jet ski's, and to a lesser extent the personality alterator.

I loved how they were infected by a virus that affected only mutant turtles. It's just little absurdities like this that make the OT great.

Agreed, other people find stuff like that silly, but I think was part of the OT's charm and will never be replicated by another show again.

Atleast he did not have to get out of the shower to answer the Com-Link!

As for the absurdity of the mutant turtle virus. That was what bothered me about this episode. I love it,but why not have them catch a cold instead of Turtle Pox? It would have made more sense.
