Does anybody happen to know any young children who this show was obviously geared towards? Don't get me wrong, I love watching my fellow hardcore Ninja Turtle fans nitpick over every little thing, but at the same time I'd really love to hear what some actual kids have to say about the series.

Not sure if this helps but my little sister who is eleven said that a lot of kids in her grade were talking about how funny the show is.

Most kids don't care about how deep and involved the story is. If it makes them laugh, then it's a great show in their eyes.

A co-worker of mine who grew up on the original cartoon like I did says he watches it with 5 year old daughter and the both of them really enjoy it. Its his daughter's favorite show.

Agreed, that's why Nick knows what they're doing.

As long as a cartoon has a likeable main cast, good villains, ans if funny for kids, they should love it.

I watched an episode with my two nieces who are 7 & 5 and they both liked it.

My co-worker's 5-yr old boy watched the first two-parter ep of the new series, like several times she said. She got sooooo sick of it after a while, lol! Hope that helps.

My 3 year old daughter loves it! Donnie is her favorite. Her favorite episode is the one with Chris Bradford. Every day she asks to watch them on my dvr lol. My wife thinks its cute.

Well if it counts for anything I was shopping the other day and this little girl, maybe 4 or 5 years old, got really excited when she saw me as I was wearing a TMNT shirt. Looked up at me, grinned wide, and said "Ninja turtles!". It's a start. :)

Looks that way. I went to our local Walmart, and the shelves were bare save for an April, Kraang, and the FX figures.

My 6 year old nephew loves the new TMNT, last time I saw him he started attacking me saying I was a mutant
also my girlfriend is a Kindergarten teacher and she said all the boys love it.

Judging by the Nick forums, they mostly seem to agree on the new show. Where I live buyers are a bit behind other places in terms of picking up toy fads, but I've noticed an uptick in merchandise sales in my area over the past couple weeks. My three-year-old nephew is absolutely loving it. Every time I've watched him since the show aired all he's wanted to do is watch Ninja Turtles. Also, not sure if this is indicative of the target audience enjoying the show, but the line is selling really well around here, and I don't believe there are enough adult fans around here to be doing all the buying, lol...

Haha, similar thing happened to me except the kid said it as more of a question. Either because I'm a "grownup" wearing the shirt, or the 4kids designs confused him.

Once the show gets enough episodes airs they'll probably air it weekday afternoons...that will allow kids to see the episodes again and again too.
