Walmart raises prices to 8.88.

Went to my local Walmart today, was lucky enough to find a metalhead, but sadly the prices were no longer 7.77, they jacked them up to 8.88.
Has anyone else seen this?

they did it at my local walmart too. It's their holiday price hike for all the popular items.

Don't feel so bad; that means the new TMNT line is SELLING VERY WELL! It happens to so many other toylines that sell well, and I'm glad I got my first nine figures when they were $7.77. This just means that there is more room for deep discounts for Black Friday/the week before/after Christmas.

I shop at target, the extra dollar won't break the bank

Target is up as well, their Turtle figures are at $8.99. I think both chains are pretty uniform throughout their franchise, so you'll most likely see $8.88 at Wal Mart everywhere now.

TRU on the other hand seems to operate pretty independently from store to store, I see major price differences on same items between the 2 TRUs located in Des Moines.

All of the WMs around here upped the price, too. Sucks, because I was thinking maybe different stores had different prices -- one of those has had them for $8.88 since at least early Sept -- so I passed on the new figs at some farther away WMs thinking maybe I'd find them for $7.77 at my local WM. Visited my local WM earlier... and not only had the price been upped, but the TMNT section was comparably sparse (looked almost like they were going to phase out the remaining selection). ;_________;

Not that I'm in any super hurry to get Metalhead and crew, but still. :P

Consider yourselves lucky. I would love it if the turtle toys where 8.95 her in Australia they have always ranged from 14.95 to 19.95.

Yeah, was psyched to see a display in the middle of the aisle for TMNT, and they had Metalhead/Dogpound/Fish Face, but they were $8.88, which was a bummer. Glad I bought my duplicates of the turtles already, and already did my army building for Kraangs and Foot Soldiers at $7.77.
